Happy Sober Sunday morning! Should be sunny in VT today....so exciting....it's been a looooooong winter. I'm staying focused on achieving 500 days of sobriety on Tuesday. I'm going to make myself a celebratory dessert for dinner on Tuesday. I'm not a big day counting person, but I happened to notice the count the other day so I'm going to capitalize on it This weekend is going by really fast!

My lovely niece came over last night and spent the night (bf on tour so she's a bit lonely). We made pysanky eggs, my first time. This is a Ukrainian art using beeswax and dye to make designs on eggs. Can be very beautiful but I definitely need practice. We fInished around midnight. I would never have been present to do this if I were still drinking. I love that I shared doing this with my niece, I love that I have these funky little pysanky eggs to look at even if they are a sad first attempt. I am not a religious person but in the last several months there have been times where I just have to stop and say thank you to god, my higher power, the universe, something greater than myself. I am so grateful. Happy sober Sunday !

Good Morning All!
Woke up groggy. Don't know why. Freezing outside but sunny. Wisconsin lost a close one last night. I remember wanting to drink a beer yesterday on the way home. Just one. No alcohol or wine, just a cold one. I thought about it for about an hour. The feeling went away when I got home started making dinner.

Well, I've been listening to this woodpecker banging on a tree for the past 30 minutes. Time to get ready to face the day. No plans but plenty to do.
There is never nothin to do around here. Enjoy the day.

Come on Non, don't start in on the BACON again.

I had to make a full breakfast with BACON yesterday after reading your post. If you keep this up I will be as big as a house.

Have a great sober Sunday!

Happy sober Sunday! Getting ready to head to a meeting. Last week they invited me to breakfast after, and I was too chicken to go. Today I'll try to be brave!

Happy Sunday to all! I just returned from an hour long massage (bliss!) and some grocery shopping. Now I'm sipping on a blueberry/banana/strawberry smoothie…yum!

It's a beautiful sunny sober Sunday in Michigan. Just got in from a run. Jumping in the shower and then out to clean up the yard a bit.

Ophelia, so envious of your massage!!!! I could go for that right now.

When I use the Sober Recovery app on my phone it is easy to attach photos that live inside the phone when I reply to a thread. I think if you are using SR in the regular sense on your iPad, then you can attach files in the reply using the attach thing. It will probably browse right into your iPad files.
Did this make any sense whatsoever?
Probably not.....

I went the weekend without a pang for a drink or feeling sorry for myself. Thought about drink ( my husband was drinking on Saturday), but I didnt long for one, just accepted that I dont drink. Progress!

Ontherighttrack- I spent a lot of time going to bed early in the early days. It's a safe place to go.

Weasel- people watching in NY sounds very entertaining!

Mechanix- I love the idea that the weekend stops being a challenge to be borne and becomes a too short break.

Great going weekenders all.

Yes, it was great! I want to get into running…I think. I have a treadmill but so far have only walked…fast at times. LOL

Sure was nice to see the sun for a bit today!

I had leftover roast chicken and quinoa and brussel sprouts.
Quinoa is my new favorite food.
