somewhere to share what we do on sober weekends.

If you have issues that you need support for then it might be wise to get maximum exposure by starting your own thread , as sometimes posts come fast on threads like this and no one wants people to feel un-supported .

Sign me up for a sober weekend.

I plan to work late on Friday finishing up some stuff that can't be done during business hours.

I need to keep catching up on deferred maintenance on the house/yard on Saturday. Also plan to finish up the repairs on the lawn mower.

I have to go to work on Sunday afternoon and then go to a staff gathering. I will be busy beating my AV in to submission on Sun before the gathering. My plan is to arrive late and leave early. I only live about 4 houses up from the location so it will not be any big chore to ditch out if I need to.


I am so done with alcohol. I think this will be a good safe test after 4 weeks.

We are supposed to have good weather this weekend for a change, so I am hoping to take a big bite out of my remaining shed construction work! Expect pictures if it's going well.

And if you're new to being sober on the weekends just remember: Bacon cures all things!

I'm in baby! It's my birthday this weekend and the first sober one for a while. I'm looking forward to remembering it all :)

Friday night here in Sydney and I screwed up already. I just couldn't resist it on a Friday night. Very disappointed in myself. And I knew I was going to be even as I bought the wine. Insanity. If I'd just persevered through that will I/won't I. I didn't and now I feel stupid.

I'm in for the Weekend.
Gardening, diy, long doggie walks and telling Mrs Sparkos how much I love her will all be on the to do list.
Arranged for a meeting with the AV at fight club on Saturday morning if it's not too chicken to turn up.

Finishing up plumbing on disposal installation, run miles/lift weights, sing in the choir, and maybe start my one-year commitment to focused, daily guitar practice (hour a day on sightreading / method book).

Maybe not start that, too. Hope to find out, though!

I am looking forward to rocking a sober weekend, working out strategies to rediscover fun stuff to do with all of my new free time. Stay strong, everyone!

Hi Mecanix my Pommie friend and all the SR weekenders. I'm in! I love sober weekends, I love hangover free mornings and making the most of all of my weekend.

I plan a bike ride on the cycle track that winds along the beaches, some gardening, my usual bread baking, making chocolates for Easter and making a lunch for friends on Sunday. Good times.

I'm in! Maybe catch celebrate recovery tonight. Work and massage tomorrow, roller skating with the kids, church Sunday, movies with the kids..... The possibilities are endless if I stay away from the drink. Will be checking in here quite often and catching some meetings this weekend as well!
