Quitting pot (and alcohol) for good
I'm on week 6 without weed or alcohol.
Still counting days and weeks, but soon will be counting months and years.
I'm feeling great about the "never again" idea. In fact, I think it's the only real way to deal with it.
Who's with me

Congrats on your decision to quit both of them. It seems that for me, if I use one of those substances, I'll want the other. Even a couple of beers in the evening will renew the obsession. Sometimes in the past I've only been able to quit for a few weeks, sometimes I can go months or even close to a year. I think that my longest periods of sobriety came when I quit everything at once, and those periods ceased when I chose to try moderation.

To consume poison in moderation is not a clever option really.

great job, Brazilian ! I'm still plugging along. Had a rough day yesterday - angry, unhappy, but I know it's going to be rocky for awhile, so we'll just keep going and putting the days in one day at a time til my brain heals itself. Man, I wish I had never got hooked. I realize I got hooked to the first few puffs because the ones after that were ****** and just made me dull and flat. So, here we go down a new pathway, Brazilian.Where it goes, who knows, but I know where my old life was going and that is NOWHERE, so anywhere else will be just fine ! Here's to another clean day !

I'm having some tough days too, buddy... doesn't matter, being sober is the way to go... no doubt about that!! So lets just keep strong and keep going.
