Moderation is not an option for me, because it's just too much hassle. Buying alcohol, looking for drugs, losing jobs, losing my self-respect, losing the respect of my family.

Moderation is not an option for me because I am all or nothing when it comes to booze and drugs. Mostly "all" though. I'll trick myself into thinking I can stop at just one or two, but then I say "ahh hell I might as well get good and drunk now that I've started, NEXT time I'll do better." But it's ALWAYS NEXT time I'll do better.
