And the vicious cycle would continue, soon as I ran out. No longer obsessed = true freedom!

I love this, EternalQ. Trust in myself was probably the biggest loss caused by my drinking. I am slowly, shyly starting to see this person and trust her a tiny bit.

Today I am free to be myself when talking to others and not have to lie about what I did last night or how I feel physically. I am free from a hangover. I am free to exercise after work instead of race to get home to a bottle. Free from the constant obsession.

Get my feelings hurt, or feel insignificant and not drink. Used to be I'd have a situation come up and feel left out, different, unnoticed, whatever. Doesn't matter if those feelings are true or not, I don't have to think up a reason to drive to the market, go up and down picking up a few things and at the last moment throwing in whatever type of alcohol I was going to drink that day. Now, I try to feel what I'm feeling, not the most fun, but better than getting totally blotto.
