I LOVE this thread! I am free to attend my son's band concert with all the other parents and not be convinced they can tell I've been drinking, hoping they can't tell, imagining they are whispering to each other about it. Nosirree, not this girl, not ever again! Free to hold my head high and listen to the music!

Today I can enjoy the sunshine , take the dog for a walk round the lake without thinking Im going to have a heart attack , I can have a lovely coffee at the expensive shop in the park because I haven't spent any money for 9 days on booze

Because I went to a party and didn't drink hence no nasty hangover I can make breakfast in bed for my husband then go shopping for healthy food and go for a picnic ..

Today I can be the real me, not the one lying in bed filled with dread and a racing heart, trying to get down the stairs without falling down from dizziness. Today I am free from alcohol. Today I am sober and that is enough for today.
