At least 18 beers a day followed by pills. Stayed away from hard liquor in the end. Got to sick. Couldn't go a day without drinking. Right out of bed in the morning, in the car, at work, everywhere I went.

Thank God, I am free today from that. All of that!

Towards the end, everyday. Every single day...and it was progressing to starting earlier in the day, like as soon as I got my kids home from school because I knew I didn't have to drive for the rest of my day.

I was the same deek, except it was vodka not beer. I don't own a car here in the city but I would often drink while riding the subway or the El if I was going somewhere. Also like you, I am so happy to be free of that whole mess!!!

I have excellent drinking control, until I get a few drinks in me. 1/2 bottle of wine a night was a light night. Weekends were always spent hungover. Alcohol was my first love...

Whoever bumped this thread again - Thanks! I was struggling with a trip to the store tonight. I needed to go but was really beginning to give in to the urge to buy a bottle or two of wine.

I read this until the urge passed and all the memories of drinking myself back to sleep and morning drinking and lunch drinking surfaced.

Made it home from the store with zero alcohol.

I said "every second day" but that doesn't really cut it because I would usually binge drink several nights in a row followed by a couple days of abstinence.

A half a bottle of wine? Hah! If I drank a whole bottle of 13.5% red wine that would only be getting started. I usually avoided wine because it smells on you the next morning and leaves a semi-serious hangover. Besides, it's cheaper to get drunk on the hard stuff. Vodka was preferred because the smell of it is easier to cover up the next day. And boy did I drink a lot of that. They say that at higher altitudes you can drink less and feel it more, but when I moved from sea level to high altitude I didn't notice and never drank less.

Every day. From about 6 or 7 at night until I passed out. Ugh! I never want to go back to that.

I was a binger, never a daily drinker. But as the years passed, the binges got longer (from one or two days to nearly a week and on rare occasions, longer) and more frequent. It reached a point where I would say that most of the time I was either bingeing or recovering from a bender, with a few, but not nearly enough, good, sober days in between. NOT GOING BACK.

Every single day for as long as I can remember. Used to wait until after work or the magical 5 oclock hour. Can't remember those days either. Found myself starting earlier and earlier in the day which turned to morning. Look at the clock and ask myself is it ok to have just one? yeah right! Would have 4 or 5 by noon and wouldn't stop. Just hide it.

Tuesday through Saturday - 1 to 2 bottles wine per night. Only reason I did not drink Sunday and Monday was because my mom stayed with me those 2 nights and she copped onto my hiding wine in cup of tea, so I stopped those nights. Needless to say Tuesday was a major binge, as soon as she left, the bottle was taken out (from its hiding place), uck so tiring, so sad really.

All day every day, morning or night it didn't matter. When I had to work, I'd have a few proir, I wasn't worried. Pretty bad

Back to SR. Try not to see the recover as a chance to binge.

Everyday. If I had to work the next day, I would keep it to 8 or 9 drinks. If I didnt have to work, I drank till black out. Sleep off my hang over, go the the gym and lift weights. That was my world for far too long.

i couldnt do the back to back days anymore when it came to alcohol because of the hangovers, they were so friggen bad. but i would smoke my weed on those days where i craved a buzz and couldnt drink. every 3 days or so i would go just to keep my emotions tied down, glad that insanity is done, at least for today.

I said every 2nd day, but more like the above.

Making me sick just thinking about it: first thing no matter beer, wine, or liqour, I would vomit or dry heave (in the morning)...it was gross but once I heaved then I could drink easily.

I do not miss that.

Every day. Not falling down drunk everyday.....but nevertheless everyday. At weekends it was worse, controlled it so as not to be drunk, but nevertheless at the end of a Sat or Sun would have managed 10, 11, 12 beers. In summer would get up in middle of night....thirsty.....knock back a beer.
