I would say that my automotive skills are only slightly out done by my ability to get frustrated and break things. One usually follows the other.....

Sailing for the long weekend. What a great way to spend the last weekend in summer, hopefully the last weekend I cant drive and possibly the start of a new business venture. In the past I have worked on my family, friends and personally owned boats and lately people have been asking me if I could do some work on their boats. Being by the water Im sure it will drum up some additional business.

Of course it might just be another dream that never develops if I dont at least try to pursue it.

At least now that I am sober I have the ability to choose what I do rather than have it limited by my addictions.

I had to bring my 99' Toyota Tacoma to the dealership because it failed the inspection of a rust problem on the frame. There was at least a 6" square hole on the inside of the frame. They are recalling the vehicle and paying 1.5x the kelly blue book retail value. I should get between $10-15k for the truck. My luck it will run on the lower number range.
This is after having the clutch fixed, detailing in and out, registering and insuring the vehicle, multiple trips to the registry, paying to have the breathaliser put in...
Now I will have to go to the registry (again!!) get permission to take the machine out or it will result in a "tamper" violation and I will lose my lisc for 10 years. Automatically. No question. Do not pass go or collect $200. I would be lucky if I didnt go to prison for at least 6 months.
THEN- I will get to try and find another truck for what they give me plus a little....very little. Get the breathalizer installed in that for another $150, sales tax on the vehicle (which just went up in MA) blah blah blah, reschedule my road test....
Im sure there is more.
Why wouldnt there be ????
I love this state.

Hang in there! How long do you have to have the breathalizer in?

I have to have the breathalizer in my vehicle for 2 years @ $110/month.
I love this state. The only one in New England that has this severe penalty....

Why would anyone in their right mind shoot the frame of a truck?

Why would anyone shoot their truck ?

Funny you should ask.

I was up on the canadian border fishing and blew out the clutch in my old truck. I had to get a rental while they fixed it. I got a full size truck and decided that a drink and dinner would be a good idea......

One thing one should NEVER do is order chinese food in Maine. Trust me.

We went into the restaurant and started talking to some of the locals in the bar about out of state-ers coming up for deer season.
One of the guys starts telling a story about some of them coming up for the week, drinking all week, never getting a deer and going home empty handed.
When the hunters were asked if they got a deer, the response was,
"Nope! But I shot my truck !" It seemed rediculous at the time....

When I was returning the truck and cleaning it out, I reached under the seat. Underneath was a nearly full box of high grain, high velocity rifle shells.
All I could think about was "Nope, But I shot my truck....!" roflmao

Its a true story.
You cant make this sh*t up.
I really should write a book.

I hate being a smoker. I looked at a new apartment by a lake for less money. Its a little smaller than the place I have right now and no storage or fridge. There is supposed to be a fridge on the way.
I dont want to F up the whole thing because I am a smoker and the people are in the program. Not that I think that I will drink again, but if I did it would definetly be a problem. Im not so sure I want someone in the program that I dont know next door to me all the time. My own shortcomings.....
