Ran just over 11k at a new, faster pace. Felt good as I had a rest day yesterday. Managed 90 chin ups. probably the most I've ever done in my life. Wanted to have a right good workout today as I probably won't be back in the gym at the weekend and then only for one hour on Monday and Tuesday.
30 min elliptical and upper body circuit training. Collar bone mostly healed. Can bench 80 lbs with out too much pain. Should be as good as new in 2 weeks. After of six weeks of being very gentle with said collar bond, ended up with a pretty good one handed backhand, but am still jealous of Federer. Note to Self...2 Steel Reserves and bike training don't mix. Humbly on day 35 this time.

Saturday is my tennis day but the weather had other ideas. I reluctantly went to the gym and had a poor workout.
I ran slowly for 35 minutes had to stop then did 20 minutes on the bikes twice. It took ages but I managed 60 chinups. My normal press up routine is 60 in 3 sets. it took my 5 sets today. I've had better days.
Tomorrow I'll rest.

Start out slow, give yourself plenty of time, gradually it will come...
Saturday 5.5 mile run.
Fall is coming... slowly... still 95% green leaves... but the colors are arriving.
MY season.

Could only do 70 minutes today (and the same tomorrow).
I ran for 40 and did 7.6km. I was running a 1k/5min and aiming for 8k but I had to slow down after about 23 minutes. I skipped the push ups and weights and did 50 chin ups. Being rushed I didn't take my little breaks in between sets and felt really tired at the end but a great tiredness.
As I had to go straight from the gym to work I showered, weighed myself and then got dressed. My weight was still higher than normal but I am definitely losing fat as I had to go down another belt notch. Pretty pleased.

Tried for 8k again in 40 minutes, this time starting out faster. I missed it by 20 odd seconds. I've never been a naturally good runner so I'm quite content with that.
Then alternated between chin ups and push ups in sets of 5 and 11. I managed 50 chins and 100 push ups.
I was saturated at the end as again I had no little breaks. Tomorrow I can take it easier and work out longer again.

Today: upper body circuit, legs sore (good kinda sore) from below.
Mon. 13 mile " recovery ride"
Sun. 15 mile "fartleck" training. 120 bpm to 175 to 120 repeated for 17 miles. 17 mph avg.

Normally my rest day but I went to the gym.
I thought I'd change it up a bit and rode a bike for one hour. Managed a new chin up record of 91. Think I'll try and do this every Thursday and give running a break once a week.

Ran 10k and did some upper body weights. This is the first time is quite a while that I've exercised every day of the week. It was good though as I didn't over do it.
Tomorrow I hope to play tennis for the first time in about 5 weeks. The weather's been great here except every Saturday, my tennis day.

This time of year is like a second spring herE in AZ... Lots of flowers in bloom along the golf courses; not to mention grass pollens....
20 mile ride. 15 mph. 1700 cal. Absolutely beautiful outside.
