Hey all!
I've not been around much since my slip up last week but boy it taught me a lot!
As in, the AV is a worthless piece of crap and will lie at every turn: there is no good thing about alcohol which unfortunately I keep having to relearn but I am learning , and I refuse to give up. I absolutely hate who I turn into when I drink.
To borrow a quote from Game of Thrones(Sansa Stark)-
"I'm a slow learner, it's true, but I do learn"

Thank you for this quote. As you wrote, I hate myself too when I drink. And I hate alcohol. It’s not good for anything.
I too, have not been around much.
I keep slipping up. Not in a huge way. But enough so that I’m not happy with myself.
I couldn’t run for the last week because had my eyebrows tinted. (You can’t sweat). But that’s over now.
Leaving to see my family on the east coast next week. I must get sober.

Now you’re going to have a dog in your group if you’ll have me.
I was member of a few different classes but had some bad binges lately. Today is day 1 for me so dealing with some fun withdrawal symptoms. I’m determined to make this the last day 1. So sick of the poison and what it’s done to my mental health, physical health, and relationships.

And guess what! We were expecting a guest tomorrow, but there has been some kind of misunderstanding, so she was suddenly standing outside our house tonight! My goodness, had this been three days ago we would be half way down the second bottle of bubbles, unable to make a good impression, but tonight we could open the door and welcome her with open arms. Phew! I'm liking this sober life.
