The trying to quit, wanting it so much and failing...repeating. the shame the guilt... letting those you love down. Those who struggle and overcome, can heal and become a stronger version of themselves. We all have it in us to beat this..to live with the addiction, but choose not to drink. I guess, that's the bottom line YOU have to choose a different path. You have to want it so much that when the AV comes at you, you can tell it to effe off. #ODAAT

BTG, glad you are coping through what I'm sure is a terrible time.
I watched a little of Johnny Depp on the stand. He seems to ramble and almost seemed cognitively impaired, the bit I saw anyway. I wonder if he is still drinking? What a sad end to a marriage.

Dee's right BTG - you are an inspiration.
I hope everyone is ok and getting another sober day. I've not read through everything and replied to everyone but am thinking of you all.
Day 3 here. Slept a bit but still feel better than any morning when drink had been taken the night before.

Morning all. Just checking in. I see lots of early days adding up and that's amazing, be grateful every morning to wake up sober knowing you made it through another day. We are more than our addiction. We are anything we want to be. #ODAAT

Hi everyone. I’ve fallen behind on posting here.
I also have been following the Amber and Johnny drama. It was hard to listen to the abuse testimony from Amber. I have been there myself. What I don’t get is why people dislike her so much. He is a classic alcoholic and people just don’t get it. It bothers me!
I realized today that I’m on day 14. I’m still waiting to hear back from my dream job interview but I had a new interview elsewhere today. I’m Not giving up but it is stressful.
I am so looking forward to a day without wind here. Mid 60’s but the “breeze” sucks the life out of us.
My son and Gdaughter will be here this evening. I’m grilling in the wonderful wind but that’s ok.
I went over to take my daughter yogurt. Her 2 little ones are uncontrollable. The almost 5 year old really is not a very nice child. I hate to feel that way but she drives me nuts! I’m staying away the rest of the week. I have to take care of me!
