Class of January 2022 Part 2
Hey all--
Very busy here--day 26 in progress.
What I've noticed today: since quitting alcohol I have been eating much better and have been working out consistently. Have my annual doc checkup next week so am curious about my bloodwork, etc. It wasn't terrible last year but am hoping for a better result now the poison is gone.
Mornings are back to being my favorite part of the day.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Way to go Tynesider!!
I did too much yesterday, my body and mind are putting the breaks on today. But that is ok, a slow gentle day today is just fine. Glad with the things I got accomplished yesteday.
Basketball and homecoming tonight. I am having a hard time wanting to go as our big "dome" gym will be packed. I have a hard time with crowd emotions i
at super packed sports. I could watch from home, but the boys love being able to see me courtside so I will push through. Taking earbuds though!

35 days is great Raggedy
And 26 days is great Sam
And whatever days everyone else is on (I can’t see back to the previous pages when posting) you’re all doing really well!
Just keep on telling yourself every day, I won’t drink today. Well that’s how I’m doing it anyway, one day at a time. Forever always seems so daunting, but I can more easily pledge I won’t drink today, and stick to it.
I just passed the 3 weeks mark and am moving into day 22. Hopefully I can make this stick for good this time!
I hope you enjoy the game Citrus

Morning everyone. Congrats TS on a week and Willow on three weeks. Going to try and run 3 miles today - it wouldn't normally be an issue, but I pulled my calf muscle on Christmas Eve and I haven't been able to run since. Shame really, as exercise helps a lot dealing with cravings, AV, etc.
Anyway, hope you all have a happy sober day and surf the challenges
PS Does anyone know of a source that looks at what happens to us physiologically, day by day, when we stop drinking? I'd kind of like to know about the healing process so I can enjoy it more.

End of Day 69. Wishing everyone strength to remain sober this weekend! Good night from Seattle.
Thought of the day: Back in my native place, there is a saying that a tiger that has tasted human blood becomes a man eater and must be shot as it doesn't like other kinds of meat anymore. That tiger is AV. It must be eradicated, there is no way it can be kept alive unless we feed ourselves to it.
