Good day. Day 4 here. Had a fairly good, motivated day yesterday. So far today feeling very unmotivated/overwhelmed/defeated just thinking about the house. Need to run errands, shower, and also maybe go to the laundromat (our dryer died last week so we can only wash but not dry clothes... FUN).

Hey all-
Day 24. Feel great, got in a nice workout this morning, woke up early with no anxiety( how sweeet mornings are without alcohol in my life, and the taste of coffee, mmmm)

Very busy day at work and more snow on the way for us overnight--yay. All good here, I'm enjoying this new sober life :-)

Last night I attended an online class, I was thinking 3 weeks ago there would have been no way I'd be in any shape to attend and my brain would be mush by 7PM anyway. What a difference!!!
Happy sober day everyone, I am so grateful.

Just starting day 43 here in the Great White North, lol. Went to bed late last night after staying up with a good book. I set the alarm for 10:45 this morning but I left it on 'time set' instead of putting it back to 'show the time' mode and woke up at 12:30. Gave me a good nights sleep, but I had wanted to get up earlier. Not that it really matters, the great thing about being retired is you can keep any schedule you want

Had five gratitude items to put in my file this morning which is nice because most of the time I struggle to find the three I aim for. One of them is my shoulder is ok after the snow shoveling I did on Monday which is a relief. I injured that four years ago and it took me most of two years to get past it. I complained to my doctor a while back that I find I don't heal as fast as I used to. He's getting up there in age too and his response was "Tell me about it."

I'm off to do some work outside before the temperature drops and go get a few good grocery deals while I still can.

Congrats to everyone on all the days AF and have a great day!

Snow! I love snow!
Well I love it when I'm inside watching it fall and everything looks all picturesque (don't get it very often)
Not so keen on it after its frozen over a couple of times and turns the pavement into a death trap ice rink 😀
Or when it turns into black slush.

I'm signing out day 6. Reminding myself I DO have a drink problem, whether I am drinking or not!
God bless all of us and let us succeed in everything we wish for ourselves and loved ones 🙏 💖

Day 5.

Not much to report. Sleep did come, in absolute droves, I slept until 6pm.

The unquenchable thirst seems to have gone now, not feeling sick, quite enjoying just watching some TV tonight.

Wish everyone all the best with their sober journeys.

Day 20
Feeling pretty good physically, but struggling a bit mentally, just feeling down.
But I’m planning to get lots of fresh air this weekend so hopefully that will pick up my spirits somewhat

Congrats on 60 Scott!! And 20 Willow!

I am SO ready for bed. I had about every single emotion going this afternoon. I never thought of drinking. But wowza hubby was lucky I had reigned it in a bit before he got home. Youngest had a tourment game half an hour away from home, we lost by 1... but it was a very fun game to watch. Made crunchwraps when we got home and had a dab of cheesecake for staying sober.
I am really hoping for a bit more solid nights sleep tonight. If not I will have to take a nap tomorrow afternoon to keep the mid afternoon grouchies at bay!

Good night!

End of Day 67. Every day I feel I have more energy. The nagging worry if I will be able to take even a one week break from alcohol has gone. Strength to everyone here. Good night from Seattle!
