Sassy, that looks like fun. I hope to join you in sewing today. Also hope to do some exterior painting if it is warm enough, put tools away (irk, this is an ongoing project,), sort papers and go through some of my clothes; most of them I never wear.

Mags, Toots and Andy, I have heard of a British concept of "Making the best of it.". We do kind of have that in the States but in a different way. Can any of you expand on this concept?

BeKindAlways, I understand it to be making the best of it with what you have. Or making the best of a bad situation.

Good Morning Overs

PJ, my mum was full of them!

I’ve got ringing in my ears this morning. I wonder what causes it. Mr. Mags has Tinnitus constantly, He says he’s used to it most of the time. Fortunately mine’s just a ‘one-off’ now and again.

Have a good Saturday my friends. Be safe. xxxx

Good morning Overs.
When you're given lemons make lemonade.
Bread dough stirred up, I'll bake it at lunch time.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Overs!

Toots, next year I plan to make “Strong and Courageous Lion” - he’s quite something and is much bigger. I was told that he is the most time consuming of the collage patterns carried by the shop I use.

Bekind, at the moment I am doing very boring but necessary sewing - hemming slacks.

Have a super Saturday, my friends

I'm hoping to get some exercise in today and get rid of a coffee table that I have on facebook marketplace. I keep dragging ti down to the street and then having to drag it back up. Irk.

Well sieze the day all with whatever it brings.

Good news! The hospital called the other day and I was able to move my colonoscopy up to 9AM on Monday morning. That means I won't have to starve myself too long. I started cutting out the fiber a couple of days ago, so hopefully the prep won't be too bad. Got my Covid test yesterday. Hopefully it came back negative and I'm ready for Monday.

Have a Wonderful Weekend, overs!

Yay to getting it done and over wirh FBL! Also belated congrats on your book!

Saskia - looks like frosty is coming!!! Nice work

hi everyone!

today is moving day. I’ve been packing for 2 straight weeks.

I got keys at 5pm yesterday to do the walk thru - if I didn’t have movers booked for today if this wasn’t the Bay Area with near impossible to find housing challenges, I would have rejected the house. i

It’s dirty, they “painted” by shoddy mismatched patch work on dirty dirty walls, and left the garage full of stuff like mattresses and furniture. I wanted to cry. I’m spending $300 on cleaners at our old house so that I didn’t have to clean and I’m getting a place that isn’t as clean as ours is right now before the clean :/

they made a big deal about having lightbulbs replaced and they don’t even match daylight vs soft white in the same fixture so I’ll even have to change those out.

my heart is sad. I made this house a lovely home, and it hurts a bit to move my family into an unclean place. It never feels good to downgrade :/

I’ll be ok. Just venting so I can put on a good attitude for the family. Thx as always for being a safe place for me to get things off my chest.

hope everyone has a lovely weekend and shakes the doldrums!!!!

Ugh SE, that does suck. I know the Bay Area is horrific for finding a place to live.

After getting up early drinking coffee and eating breakfast, I went back to bed.

I'm not doing well at making the move off the couch . . . irk . . . so I'm now off to clean the kitchen, put tools away and make my bed.

SE I'm sorry you have to clean and maybe decorate the new house as soon as you move in, but perhaps you will be putting your stamp on it early and making it feel like your home from the start. I hope the rest of the move went well and the wee ones settle in quickly to their new home. And Karma will happen to the mucky pups who left the house you're moving into in such a shambles!

Good Morning Overs

Andy, yes, great lemonade came from humble lemons.

SE, a lot of work for you before you settle in your new home. I know you’ll soon have every room decorated and just as you want it.

FBL, good news on the colonoscopy time change much better at 9am.

Sassy, your new collage Strong and Courageous Lion, sounds wonderful. Look forward to seeing a pic when you’re finished.

Have a good Sunday my friends, be safe xxxx

SE, ditto to what the others have posted You are strong and resourceful but we all sometimes feel overwhelmed at the twists of fate in our lives. You will be making lemonade soon.

I got Sassykitty a kitty bed for an early Christmas present. She has never liked other beds I’ve tried but this one is finally acceptable to her It’s hand-crocheted in a very, very soft cranberry yarn and she spends a number of hours every day snuggled up in it.

Have a relaxing Sunday to all
