SE I used to get croup really bad as a young child, many a night my mum sat up with me. She used to melt vapour rub into hot water and get me to breathe it in, it really opened my chest, I would sleep sitting propped up by pillows which helped as well.

Mags, that's cats for you!

Sass, good news, I'm glad for you.

Peej, there is a special law ( I'm sure there is a formula written down) where an injured body part will always seek an immovable object to bash!

Be well everyone.

Good Morning Overs

I’m at the hospital today for a bone scan, I think they’re checking on osteoporosis because of my break. It’s at my old hometown so I’m visiting my stepmum and then my friend, we've been friends since living next door to each other 57 years ago. My step mum is doing very well and has stopped her carers as no longer needed. She’s 95 years and got her bounce back.

Have a good day my friends. Be safe xxxx

Wow, Mags - your step-mum getting her bounce back at 95 is incredible Ah yes, bone scans. Easier test than many, imho.

Today I have what I hope will be my last medical appointment for this year. I see the electrophysiologist. I expect this will be an easy one.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Overs

Good morning from the Rocky Mountains USA.

Cleaner is coming today which is early and stresses me out a bit. Irk. I'm not sure why.

Today's To-do: make calls, put tires in shed, text Dominique and Nicolette, put ink in printer, call about distribution form, ask about toxic smell from woodstove on reddit, get some exercise.

Well I'm off to check the weather, pull a bunch of things off the mantle and get things out of my car.

Onward troops.

Good Morning Overs

Sassy, hope all went well at the electrophysiologist (I’ve never heard of electrophysiologist until now). Yes the bone scan is the easiest scan I thought.

Have a good day my friends. Be safe xxxx

Feels a bit like spring out there this morning. We'll have light rain and 60F today. More like March than December.

We had our company Christmas get-together at the boss's house yesterday. A pretty low-key affair, but Fran enjoyed it. Got another generous bonus this year, which is nice. My project is moving along nicely. I really love the "research" phase, so I'm having fun and getting paid for it!

Have a Happy Hump-Day, overs!

Good morning, Overs.

FBL, always nice to get paid for doing what you love :-)

Hi Purps.

Mags, I only heard of “electrophysiologist” recently. He’s a cardiologist with an extra five years training beyond a “normal” cardiologist - or at least this one has that much. He said I will need a complex pacemaker but said it will be awhile since insurance won’t pay for it until it gets worse. It costs about the same as a new Mercedes.

Hi Andy

Onward, Bekind!

Hi Dee!

Have a good day to all

Congrats on the bonus FBL! You are a tireless worker and without you, the company would not be able to get books out in a timely matter. I am glad Fran is doing well.

Have a good day all!

Sassy, wow sounds expensive but absolutely worth it, it’s helping a priceless and precious person.

Purps, these three animals were friends, they’d been captured and then rescued and lived their lives together in Noahs Ark Animal Sanctuary. Baloo the bear, Leo the lion and Shere Khan the tiger. it’s a very tear jerking and heartwarming true story.

Hello Overs,

We got a bit of snow last night and now it is blowing swirls of snow off the roof. It does make the house seem cosy.

I spent yesterday cleaning house along side my cleaner. It helped motivate me to keep going.

Today I hope to figure out how to put money in my cleaners account, find some fingerless gloves I knit, make phone calls, pay a bill, put tires in the shed, and hopefully get some exercise.

So I'm off to take meds, comb my hair and make my bed.

Next right step comrades.

Yay PJ! The wait times are horrendous these days to schedule.

cats and Xmas trees - chuckling.

BB now has the cold and isn’t sleeping unless I hold him. After 18 hours of 15 min naps, I’m giving in and indulging him to get a solid nap in and just chilling out myself in a dark room.

Saskia - well, if it’s car prices, maybe it’s negotiable for an end of the model year discount I am joking of course. Silver lining is that there is an option available now - new med device approval takes forever it seems.

in-laws invited themselves this week for me to host their entire 15 person family Xmas morning at my house for Xmas breakfast. I have a 10x8 living room that fits the couch, tv, and an Xmas tree. Heck no. plus I’m sorry but Santa already reserved that time.

They aren’t taking no for an answer, so I have to repeat no about every hour.

The nice part about being busy is I don’t have time to fret amount what anyone thinks.

Good Morning Overs

SE, good for you standing your ground. You’ve had a hectic few months and it will be wonderful to share Christmas with your adorable children and hubby.

I’ve my asthma injections this morning. I’m pleased I don’t need to traipse to the hospital to have them.

Have a good day my friends, be safe. xxxx There’s much talk about this new variant of covid spreading over here.

Good for standing firm SE! Maybe your spouse could help echo these sentiments back to his family for emphasis?

Sassy, you are the Mercedes Benz of this group and deserve the best when the time is right.

Have a good day all!
