I'm okay Be! Thank you for worrying, not quite nights but a few long days! Just a bit busy busy.
I was thinking about your comment of no reason not to drink (or similar) if the kids were with their mum full time. I can't see why this would happen but I can imagine it's unsettling. I agree with Venus is the biggest reason not to drink has to be you! The only thing it could do even in the most dire situation is make things 100% worse! Your partner sounds like she's being a little horrid if I'm honest and airing thoughts that really are only of benefit to her rather than thinking of the kids.
You're a good Dad Be, you fight for your rights!
lots of love

Hey Willow
apologies, I did not hello specific yesterday. I hope you are okay. Been reading your newer posts on January 2012 and sorry you've been struggling. I hope you'll lean on me and Be if there's anything we can do to help you.
Really glad you are feeling better today, I think as the days pass AF, things do get clearer and brighter.
you'll get there, you're stronger than you know

Thanks Billy ❤️
I think having made some significant changes in my life will help smooth the way.
Today was my first “proper” day in my new job. I had been doing training and also finishing off in my old job, but I’m now on board with the new job and I know I’m going to be so much happier

Yes absolutely Willow, well done on the new job and you know how to get sober.
Is there anything else you can add to your sober toolbox to avoid further relapses? Are there any common themes that led to this one?
AA? Other types of groups? I've used therapy and that's suited me pretty well (although I'm think I'm more bonkers now than ever, it's just I'm aware of it better 😳 )

Lol Be I think I’m pretty bonkers too
I think for me, the biggest thing was stress and anxiety. So I’m feeling pretty happy that I have managed to reduce both significantly. I know that I’ll still be challenged, but I think it’s going to be more manageable.
I also know that I need to post when I get tempted by the AV, not hide from SR. I need to jump straight into SR .

You know how to do it Willow, and we're all with you!
Work is beginning to get busy. Everyone wants a piece of me. I don't mind, rather be busy than not. For such a large organisation their policies are in a terrible state, which means a lot of work for me 😬

I had a really busy day at work yesterday, and came home exhausted, but in a tired happy way, not a stressed out anxious way. What a difference! And no desire to drink, which is such a good thing. In my previous job I was constantly wanting a drink to wash away the stress of my day (which never worked anyway) but I’m in a completely different mindset coming home from work now
Have a good day everyone. Be I hope your busy day was a good busy and not a stressful busy!

That's really good to hear Willow I suppose it is a bit like running when the log is really hard and sometimes uncomfortable but at the end you get such a buzz (this may be a weird analogy for some haha
How is the weather in Australia? It is wet and windy here, but I am still lying in bed at 0730 with the dogs, which is most pleasant. I will be mostly improving upon the rooms we have been reflooring and painting. I have nominated myself Head of aesthetics, unfortunately for my partner, he is Head of manual labour
Hope everyone has a great day
Love Billy x

Morning all. Had a really good therapy session yesterday. My therapist is an American and very blunt, he's a good guy but he's at the confrontational end of the scale (which is probably what he's assessed I need). But yesterday he was really sympathetic about a couple of issues I thought I was being silly about, I guess I was down playing them but he made me feel reassured that these issues are not little at all but I was just being 'normal' to be affected by them.
Hope everyone is well, it didn't get dark til about 5:25 last night which has filled me with hope for the spring

Morning all. Just checking in. My day counter app says 344 days. It's easy to forget just how hard the first 50-70 were. I think I had a slight headache for almost that entire time, especially when I woke up! I'd drink a pint of water when I woke, just like when id been drinking...I'm still thirsty when I wake up now but no headaches thank goodness
