Hello hello! Hope everyone is doing ok. All good with me. Wilfred the puppy is getting BIG!! Poor little boy had a one in a zillion reaction to his last vaccination which meant he got a lump the size of a tennis ball come up on his back. He spent a week looking like a cross between a camel and a puppy but then the lump disappeared and he's absolutely fine. In fact, he seemed absolutely fine even when he had the enormous lump on his back - nothing deflates his happy vibe. He is awesome. As is our other dog. He gets on great with the puppy - they both sleep on the bed with my husband and I and it's a bit of a squash because these are big labradors so we're going to get a bigger bed So funny... before we got Wilfred, my husband said, 'no way will the puppy be sleeping on our bed. He will sleep on a mat on the floor like a proper dog.' Ha ha. Think that plan lasted about 4 days.

Everything is going great ...the children all seem happy at school, I'm back working in the office and I've joined the training team for the Samaritans as well as taking on extra shifts. I think joining the Samaritans was probably the second best decision I ever made (after sobriety) because it gives me the daily gift of perspective and gratitude. I'm also really busy editing my latest novel - it's so strange, the more rejections I get for my writing, the more determined I become!! I keep thinking that every door shut in my face leads me closer to someone holding a door open for me. Optimism or delusion? Not sure, but it sure beats feeling defeated. And I don't even need someone to hold a door open for me, I just need to get a foot in the door, or even just a fingernail in the door... I'll keep trying. Nowhere near giving up yet.

Thanks for keeping me on the list, Suze. Hope all's good with you. I may not check in every day but I am here, flying the flag for the sober army everywhere I go. Love to you all and 24 more for me please xxxx
