Sounds good FF. If you need to post again and we will get you through the cravings.

We know the AV is a liar Freedom. Well done on resisting it. Drinking only takes us to bad places. Play the tape forward to the consequences of drinking, that helps me too. Remembering the awful hangovers and fogginess and inability to communicate clearly, yuk. I don’t want to go back there again.

My life is a disaster right now. But all I need to do is not drink then I'll get one month, 35 days, two months, three months sober. All I have to do is not pick up that first drink. And I know I can do it.

That's right FF and keep NOT picking it up and that disaster will clear.

So true Freedom, all we need to do, is not drink today. We’re in this together.

From my outside perspective I think your life is a lot better than when you joined SR, FF?\

I'm having problems with my mental state right now but I guess on balance my life has improved. My life was a proper disaster when I was going on benders.

Day 24. AV got very strong yesterday, but the Antabuse stopped me from acting on it. I did find myself thinking "maybe I should stop taking the antabuse and I can drink in a week or so?" but I'm taking my antabuse this morning. As long as I keep taking the pill, I have a good week's defence against drinking.

And if you stopped taking it and started drinking, you’d be back to square one, and regret it. So it’s not worth it. Especially with your college goals in sight. Better to keep taking it and not drink

Congratulations FF! It has been great following your progress. Don't stop taking that Antabuse! That seems like such a great tool.

How’re you going today Freedom?

I’m on day 28 today. It’s only 7am but by the end of today I’ll have 4 weeks sober again. The AV has it’s moments, especially on Sundays, but so far I’m managing to keep it at bay with the help of SR and keeping busy and distractions.
