Yay! I get to check in again (and enjoyed a morning with coffee and getting work done before family woke up - the two are related and it makes for a good day

FBL - sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the increase in real estate prices mean that the new owners will have bring in increased revenue to make their mortgage payments. Margins are actually pretty tight early on, depending on the market. However they should have a copy of existing lease and contract law requires that they abide by it, so you are protected until that term ends, and they will have to take up the issue about not getting the proper disclosure with the former owner. sorry you have to deal with this. Quick math on purchase price via public record should let you know what the new owners overhead is....they may have paid too much (common).

Glad you are enjoying a nice day Saskia. I hope to get out for a walk her next week.

My big news - my mom is going to take the risk to fly out to stay with us for the next 4 months (and maybe longer) so she can see her grand babies. She has never been able to visit bc she couldn’t leave my grandmother. She has been home by herself and not even going to the grocery, so this is a big step. Ultimately she feels like she lost out on the first two years of being a grandma and just wants to have that experience before they are no longer little. My sister lives here too, and had a baby 3 months after me, so she gets twin grand babies so to speak, and they may be the only grand babies she has as my sister is hitting the age limit too.

We are doing a bunch of small house projects to get ready for her arrival...

Morning Overs

SE, that’s great your mum is coming to stay with you.

FBL, I agree with Dee. You’ve got it sorted!

I’m going for a walk around Normanby Park for and hour this morning, meeting in-laws there too. We’ll have a walk, socially distancing of course.

Take care and have a Good Monday, my friends. xxxx

Hoping to golf at 10 but it's a real pea-souper out there so not sure we'd see out balls! Have an hour to see if it lifts.

Been beautiful weather around here the past few days also. A little bit of San Diego on the East Coast.

SE, I am happy your Mom will be heading out to stay with you guys for a stretch. I hope she can lend a hand to you dealing with baby K. Maybe you will be able to enjoy more frequent coffee mornings in peace.

Have a good day all!

Toots, I hope the fog lifts for your golf. There’ll be a few on Normanby Golf Course I should imagine too.

Had a nice talk with the boss on Saturday. We came to the conclusion that all of this is on the new landlord and the ball's in his court. Either he lets us stay put or he cuts us from our lease and we move out. Or, he lets the lawyers sort it out, which could take awhile. Whatever happens, we'll be fine!

Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!

FBL, great attitude! One way or another this will work out.

SE, nice that your mom will have an extended stay to visit the grandkids! Being alone too long is not a good thing.

Purps, that pic is priceless

Hi Andy!

Have a lovely walk, Mags.

Toots, hope you are golfing right now.

SG, the same beautiful weather here...hope it lasts a bit longer.

Hi CK, always good to see you pop in.

Sophie, good to see you, too!

and of course, have a great day, Dee without too many of us driving you nuts

Morning everyone -

thx everyone for sharing my excitement about my mom joining us with me

I woke up at 4am today and couldn’t fall back again. Silver lining is that I got a bunch of work done and have just about finished the photo recovery project. Yay!!!!! So relieved to get passed this one. And I got a coffee to myself again

FBL - glad you are in a positive position. Again, sorry you have to deal with it.

Toots - hope you made it out to golf!

Happy Monday everyone - wish all the coffee and tea drinkers an enjoyable cup

Morning Overs

SE, 4am is a great time to start the day I find. I can feel the excitement of your mom coming to visit.

FBL, I know it will work out well, whatever happens, whether your work place stays put or moves. You and your boss have got ‘a good head on your shoulders‘.

Have a good Tuesday my friends. xxxx

Good morning Overs.
The birds are rebelling, they don't like the new fat balls I purchased.
Have a good day everyone.

SE, I'm really happy for you and your mum, my mum can now visit indoors with my brother& SIL, it has made a big difference to her to be able to hug someone after 3 months of no physical contact.

As to the golf folks, the weather actually worsened to the point I had to take my glasses of to play as the mizzle Coated them the moment I had cleaned them! Ended up coming off after nine as I was struggling to see to putt! Ho hum, there's always next time!

FBL sounds about the right thing to do!

Sass, you are sounding much happier just now. 😘

Mags hope you enjoyed Normamby Park

Andy, wtf? Why don't they enjoy the fat balls? My birds break my feeder to get at them and they're just cheapies. Maybe your birds are too picky! Hows the family doing these days?

Enjoy the coffee Purp, I'm enjoying mine!

Hi Sophie hows things?

Have a good one everyone.

Hey Overs! Been going and blowing getting ready for my Model Y coming in in the next week.

Sassy,
Yes, we are both living with the consequences of decisions we made decades ago. Luckily they were good ones.

FBL,
Hope the new digs make it nicer for you and your coworkers.

SE,
Glad your mom is willing to help out.

Toots,
Did it lift in time?

Star,
We've got the same, San Diego weather in the Rockies too. Gonna hit 90un the next two days then back to the 70s.

Purps,
Great Monday meme!

CK,
You too!

FBL,
I'm sure it will all work out.

Toots,
Sorry your golf day was called on account of weather.

Guys, I've been scarce here because of my new car. I ordered a Model 3 that aggravated my spinal issues because it was too low. Well I ordered the new Model Y and was afraid it would be too low too. It was perfect! So over the weekend I accepted a delivery date in the next couple of weeks or sooner. So we've been busy making all the arrangements for payment, registration, insurance and next week I'll have an SUV that beats most million dollar muscle cars silently. We love it already. I'm glad we didn't waste the money changing our electrical service from 100Amps to 200Amps, putting all new breaker box and breakers as well as the charging circuit and 50Amp outlet box to charge it.

Tomorrow we put the Subaru Baja up for sale as my SH gets the '19 Forester now that I'll have the Tesla.

Night all!

Good morning, Overs!

Toots, yes, I feel much happier :-). The infusions (two so far) have made a huge difference in my well being since I am no longer tethered to my apartment for fear of a very embarrassing accident. I’ve been gradually going for longer and faster walks! As expensive as the biologic drugs are, they are amazing.

Itchy, enjoy your new toy!

Have a good day to all
