Class of March 2020 Part 3
Freedom, just glad to see you came back. Just take it one day at a time and don’t worry about the day count. Last time I relapsed I was so preoccupied with the number of days/months, that I really didn’t have a plan in place.

I do hope you will keep posting in March 2020, I was reminded when you said about relapsing of my brother (who is now 11 years sober). He has this tattoo on his wrist which people always assume is the date from which he was sober from but actually it is the date he made the decision that he wanted to recover, he had more than a couple of relapses from that point on but today he is a completely transformed guy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we're all human and may all experience blips on the way but at the end of the day we're all here to support you, hope you keep posting

Willow I am so very sorry to hear about your cat, as a six animal house I can empathise with the sorrow it brings, big hugs to you ❤️
Be I hope you are okay today, I won't rehash the excellent words of advice you've already been sent but thinking of you and hoping things become easier day by day x

What changed? I really haven’t had any cravings or the dreaded AV pop up all week, knock on wood! I even went to a UPS which was right next to a liquor store but it didn’t stir any emotions. Maybe I am tired of living with guilt, lies and stress, not to mention physical illness which comes with drinking. I’m still going to take it one day at a time because this disease is insidious.

I think it's best to prepare but I'm not overthinking it...I've got 99 problems but my AV ain't one
Thanks Billymac
Good to see you Freedom
Like the others said, it doesn’t matter how many days you have, the fact you’re still trying is what’s important. I’ve had so many day 1s I’ve lost count of them all. I’m actually in a few classes now, and I still post in them. The more support the better I feel. My first one was May 2018 and I actually stopped drinking for over a year back then. I’ve joined a few more classes since then but hopefully March 2020 is my last
Sat morning here and time for coffee

All that sober time is preparation willow. I've also been around a while on here, and whilst I would do anything to rewind the clock I have to be honest - all the time trying, being sober for short periods and relapsing taught me a lot
Good morning. I look forward to looking forward to weekends again. It should be interesting to see how I have changed once things have opened up again. I didn’t enjoy going to places with a lot of people before, but maybe that has changed being sober. Some people like to go the the beach for vacation, I’d rather go to the mountains.
