Class of November 2019 Part 4
Trudging, sorry about your computer. If it's any consolation, the same thing happened to me. I knocked over a beer onto an IBM thinkpad a few years ago. It was like out of a movie: the screen went all sideways, flickered for about thirty seconds and then went black. I fried the laptop and had to get a new one. Of course, it still took another year or two to figure out that drinking was not working out for me and that I had to stop!
I’ve had good luck with laptops from the Dell outlet or even a refurb from eBay. Under $300 and they last forever or until I drop them lol.
Day 30. My weight loss has kind of stalled, but that’s ok. I’m getting into a very healthy routine and good things are happening. I started meeting an old friend at the gym. It gives us both some structure and it’s great to have a work out partner.
Oh, Joy I am so happy for your success and excited for your new endeavor.
Be well my friends. JC

Taplow and Citrus where are you? Hope things are ok.
Suze, how are you feeling?
Checking in real quick... this day at work was nonstop and I missed posting this morning. Tomorrow and Thursday are looking really busy too. But I did get to leave work on time today (or close to it) and come home and cook dinner for me and the bf, which felt wonderfully "normal" -- even though it's not actually normal for us LOL. I'm hoping it will become more so, though.

I feel FABULOUS dear SBTS!!!
Really.....it's all passed and I was able to say goodbye to a few of my extra pounds and I feel all sorts of grateful for everything.
You are amazing woman....I hope you know that. s xx

So glad to hear that Suze xo
Oh, Willow! I forgot. La Croix is flavored seltzer that comes in pretty cans. It's really popular and trendy here in the US (or at least in NYC?) The grapefruit flavor is the most popular but my bf and I like tangerine the best.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better Suze
La Croix sounds delicious. We have similar drinks here but different brands
Yes Taplow and Citrus, we hope you’re going ok, please come and say hi.
I got my car back from the mechanic. Ouch, they sure saw me coming! I just added to their Christmas fund. Oh well, the car needed it and at least now it should be fine for another 6 months

I just googled it, there’s only one place in Australia that sells it, some funky cafe in Sydney, a gazillion miles from where I live so I guess I’ll stick to my cranberry and sparkling water

Morning all! Evening Willow. Beautiful, crisp day here in London. Solid sleep last night and last full day in the office, woohoo! Feeling good. Thankfully, circumstances - such as this upcoming holiday with my mate who is hugely supportive, then going home for Christmas immediately after to stay with my folks, then going back up to statu with the same friend for New Year's, mean I won't have the chance to drink between now and the end of the month even if I wanted to. But having all of that stuff coming up means I won't want to anyway. The real test will come in January, but I am grateful to have this run of 3 weeks til then of conditions that will be massively conducive to sobriety.
Had to chuckle at your last post, Dee. People getting very excited over carbonated beverages around here!!!

Haha, yes, it’s not that different. I do feel like the flavor is a bit stronger than your typical sparkling water and more true to life (the tangerine really tastes like tangerine!) but otherwise pretty similar

Hello everyone. I haven't posted the last few days but I have been looking in. Thanks for the interest everyone. I've not been feeling too good but there's no great calamity to report. I just feel like I can't be bothered. I'm not depressed though. I've just got no energy.
Today I thought I'd actually do something and go out meet one of my few remaining friends. I got to the station and the trains were cancelled - not the first time. I came home and wrote an angry email to the company, probably went a bit over the top. That's been my day.
I'm not drinking though - day 60 I think - and still part of this class and will be more active. I wish you all well. Everyone seems very positive. I also hope Citrus is okay.
Best wishes.
