Hi lovelies it's been a while. Since my 'almost a year' sober last year I have been on and off drinking. Only light beer with the occasional drunk night on red wine. Stupid really. Life is so much better sober so I am committed to stopping this stupidity.... Yet again. I haven't gone overboard and done anything stupid (duh drinking is stupid) ... In fact I've been quite reserved in my drinking but an alcoholic is an alcoholic. I don't like drinking, it's pointless, it doesn't make me happier...in fact I'm happier when I am sober.
Bobbie- yay!!! Congrats on the house. Can't wait to see pics.
Lil- I've been away so long I missed that you were in Chemo. Big hugs xxx
MITA - funny you mentioned Mr Goggins. We have a security guard at work who was talking about him last week. He recommended I watch some of the YouTube videos.
Sorry I've been such a stranger....will definitely try to stick close. Funny when you're drinking the last thing you want to do is log into SR but that's the best thing you can do.

Mish - yes, the resistance to post when feeling crap. Like losing weight before joining a weight loss program- of which I would be one. It is that first push that is the hardest. I hope you can pursue your goals- and keep posting too.

Hi to everyone, I do not do this sort of post - but hell, you only live once, unless your a buddhist.
My new meds are horrible, I know they take weeks to kick in and I hate it, but making a triple redouble effort today to get off my rear and do stuff. Not sleeping until 0300, very tired and very sore- so I will see how I go.
BBG- you had better have lots of coffee ready.

I think about Mark and the life he has in front of him....27 and 10 years sober....the entire world is his oyster. He is done with this....this back and forth that so many of us have gone through for SO MANY years.
You are a beautiful age Mish....I would have loved to have gotten sober at your age....instead I waited until the week before I turned 50. Just dumb. Ridiculously dumb.
Although, I would not know Nick if things had been different....so I am glad they are the way they are.
I would love this to be over for you....life is so much better for me sober honey....I want to share.

I;m glad you're back Mish - yeah I can;t dabble in drinking - all or nothing for me - I choose nothing cos my life rocks this way
