Hey guys! Had 2 birthday parties over the weekend - a first and a 50th. The 50th was at a winery. It was okay and didn't bother me like it did at first. Drunk people do act pretty obnoxious though. Glad I wasn't one.
Going to an NA meeting tonight with Nathan. I really haven't spoken to him since last week. Keeping boundaries up.
Inspection finished on new house. Everything seems okay. Things are moving along. I guess I need to start packing.

Hope all is going well with our March Family 
Yesterday I completed the 30 day experiment...which would make today 35 days since my last drink was Christmas....no desire to drink but the AV keeps nagging like "What about next time???" ~ pretty annoying......

Perhaps you could tell your AV you are sick of feeling bad about yourself.....this feels GOOD...this makes you happy....so next time the AV chirps up, maybe do what I do and say "thanks for sharing" (somewhat sarcastically....).

Great job, Purps. You could do it again, you know. You don't have to drink first. Just start today. Or, just start doing everything Annie Grace. Listen to her podcasts, read her book. Whatever works and this seems to speak to you.

Stay warm polar vortex victims!! The warmth is coming.
To Venus and anyone else cold from that darn vortex.....I’m headed to the desert after chemo. Warm sun, swimming pool and a lounge chair. Join me! I’ll be doing laps in the pool to regain strength, but will be taking lots of breaks and smoothies are on me. And during our favorite month...March!

Hope your cardiology appointment is routine BBG. Thinking good thoughts.
Bobbie, I can only imagine how difficult it is to help Nathan, but maintain boundaries. Glad the house is progressing though.
Things here are pretty good. I recovered from the third round of chemo...but dreading the fourth/last round coming my way next week. New drugs which hopefully avoid allergic reaction, but I don’t know exactly what side effects to expect. So my motto next week harkens to Dory the fish...”just keep swimming, just keep swimming....”
Remember my friend who came to see me last month? Breast cancer survivor, but drank an astonishing amount of wine while here and never stopped smoking? She just told me they found a 6 cm (huge) mass on her liver this morning in an ultrasound. Hoping it isn’t the breast cancer spreading. Praying she’s ok. This makes me so sad. Won’t know for several weeks. Another reminder why I won’t drink. I heart my liver.
Hubby just passed 100 days sober. It’s been life changing for our relationship...and all because an ultrasound showed liver damage from drinking.
To PJ, MITA, Dee, 13th _ keep on, keepin’ on!
