Looking forward to getting a new card as it will be absent the '0' condition which means zero alcohol. For the first 3 years after gaining my licence back, I had this condition. It will finally get removed from end July. Yay ! It was a source of shame for me.

Congrats to the milestoners ! Keep moving forward ! The first month is the toughest by far. It gradually becomes easier, one little moment at a time !

Another 24 hours of compassion, serenity and sobriety pls! Its 8:33am here !
Very pleased for you, Kaneda.

I was glad I saw my friend, who is still drinking heavily. Not that I am happy that she is, more that I needed to see that, and she needed to see the sober me. We had a chat where my not drinking was the topic, and I simply said it gives me headaches, ruins my sleep, exercise and makes me sad--I said I am becoming intolerant to it.

It was so easy to say it, and she nodded in some sort of agreement. I was worried about explaining but it was easy. She said she would love to go on the lake hiking trails with me sober since that's one of my favorite things to do. It was cool. But hard too--I still saw what alcohol was doing to her, and her husband especially the following morning. That was me not long ago. I am so, so grateful to be free. Even if I have to face the truth and it is ugly. If I can quit they can too. Maybe it will happen. I don't think I can spend a ton of time with her but I don't have to end the friendship either.

I hope you have a great sober day or night and 24 more for me please on Day 62.

xo

Red
62 days is fantastic, Red.

Maybe your conversation will ignite some thoughts of sobriety for your friend. Wouldn't that be great!!!!!!

I think your example will inspire your friend, Red. Maybe not immediately, but it will.

Well, the drink is just a 50/50 mix of seltzer water and grape juice that I pour into a wine glass. I like to fancy the juice mix up a bit by drinking out of a wine glass so I feel like I've really had something! Silly, but it seems to help. ;-)
Ice cream, M&M's, nonpariels (sp) were my go-tos in early days!!!!!

Seltzer water and grapefruit juice sounds nice and refreshing!

I'm being tested though - here we come to this nice rental place and the owner thinks he's being nice for leaving a bottle of wine and fridge stocked with beer. I filled the whole wine rack with Pellegrino bottles, tee hee.
, melki. A wine rack with Pelligrino bottles

Ice cream floats for everyone!

(I was looking for a picture and this looked different, may have to try...)

Vanilla Ice Cream
Fresh Watermelon Juice
Lemon Lime Soda
Optional: Mint garnish

Do you think it would be good?
