Good Morning
Good morning Folks,
Trusting you are all enjoying the spring finally.
I made it past my 3 1/2 year mark unscathed last week.
Yesterday was my final day of work. Officially a retired old fart. ROF!
The office sent me out in style with a great party at a Tapas Bar.
Haven't had the burning urge for a few cold ones as I did yesterday.
That SOB was sitting on my shoulder all afternoon YELLING in my ear to have just one. Damn, when is that A hole going to get the message that I am not interested. It keeps trying.
I ignored the voice..... for that I am grateful this morning.
The three kids, 3 spouses and 3 grand boys will all be here this long weekend and we will celebrate retirement on Saturday night.
I am thankful for my life right now.
Peace and happiness to you all
Rick

I know it sounds arrogant of me, but I just have a feeling they have this all wrong.
Getting ready to head out on my road trip. Taking Mom out to supper tonight, then hopefully a nap, then the radio show. The whole family will be taking Mom out tomorrow night for her 80th birthday. Then I'll head back here early Sunday.
Have a great weekend, overs!

And safe travels. ♥

on 3 and a half awesome years dearest Rick!!! ♥
And so glad that you were able to put the AV in its place. Nasty little bugger, just loves to show up when we least expect it. Loving how we collectively continue to tell it to get lost. ♥
Congrats, Rick! I also have that AV occasionally trying to yell in my ear. With much practice, I now nearly instantaneously jump to the thought of what would happen if I gave in. Awful picture and it kills the thoughts very quickly indeed. I had a similar experience with quitting smoking although that was easier than stopping drinking. For about a year or two I thought that if I found that I had a disease that was terminal in the short run, I'd start smoking again. Eventually even those thoughts disappeared.
Congratulations Mags and Rick
Mags 'normal' is a relative term where I am concerned! My chipped molar cost £75 to be filled. So not quite painless!
Hope the drive went well FBL, it was my dads 80th yesterday, he spent it in hospital. I shouted Happy Birthday down the mobile phone at him ( reception bad or phone upside down, not too sure!) family all going over today to take him cake and balloons. He knows I won't be there. Gson is 11 today, I will be eating his birthday cake instead!
