Congrats on 6 months, Aussie!

Glad to hear you're doing well, Dave!

All good here. The weather finally cooled down so I'm enjoying the crisp fall breezes and a few falling leaves. Not close to peak colors, though. Soccer season in full swing and Homecoming quickly approaching. B is taking a girl from a different school so he will be going to hers as well. Today, we're going to the store to find him dress shirts and/or ties. Just as soon as my 3 loaves of pumpkin chocolate chip bread are done! Mmmmmm.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey all! Hope you are all doing well. Things are pretty good here. Busy with family stuff which is always nice. My youngest got his drivers license and turned 16 this week. Soccer is coming to an end and fall is upon us. Yay!!

I've had a few struggles, thinking about seeing the therapist I saw before. Been feeling low sometimes, accompanied by anxiety. I'd really like to feel more positive and at peace with things. Wouldn't we all, I guess, but it's been really getting to me more lately. More time on my hands maybe to think about things. Anyway, it would be nice to be working toward that peace.

Hope to hear from you, check in and let us know what's up! xxoo

Yep, I might. I need to work up the nerve. lol It' just that sometimes I feel like I need help with some older stuff, but I don't want to talk about the older stuff. A catch 22 with a therapist, I'd imagine! "Help me without me having to talk about it!" I'll get there, I just need to work up to it. Thanks, Dee! I hope you're doing well, friend! xx

Checking in
I haven't been in for a while , lots of family stuff going on , with elderly parents , appointments etc.

Mirage I am sorry your feeling low , if therapy worked for you before I say go for it . I am not comfortable doing the face to face stuff. At your age don't discount those hormones either they played havoc with my emotions.

Thanks, Aus. I'm alright. Been busier lately and feeling better. Just got back from a vaca in Florida which was beautiful. Went with D and B. T missed out, being at college. A really nice 5 days, and we're home to chilly, pretty fall weather. It's all good at the moment and I'll take it! Yep, noticed you haven't been checking in. Hope you're ok, too.

xx

Glad your feeling better Mirage.
I am fine , my parents are keeping me busy these days. Not many people posting here either , so I have been a bit quiet.
Storm season is picking up here , we need the rain badly if only it would come without all the light show and thunder.

Haha, I have WAY too much candy, Dee! We had 8 kids come through. EIGHT. I bought too much candy! I'm sending a bunch back to college with my kiddo this weekend, though.

My mom is going in for a heart valve repair on Monday. We're all a bit nervous. Wish us luck!

All the best mirage - my mum had that too last year - took her a while to recover, but she had no complications or problems with it

Oh wow, Dee. I'm glad it all worked out for her. I don't know what to expect in terms of recovery. I know she'll be in ICU for 2 days and then another 4-5 in a hospital room and then they say 4-6 weeks to recover. The surgery went well today. We saw her after but she was still sedated and they didn't want us hanging around to see her when she woke up. They suggested we go home and come back tomorrow. It'll be a long week. I wish the hospital were closer. It's downtown and 40 minutes highway driving to get there. Anyway....thank you for the well wishes. xx

Any time Mirage

My mum was in ICU for a few days then a general ward for 2 weeks or so and then she moved to a rehab ward in her local hospital (she lives a few hours out of the city)

I think she spent 3 weeks to a month there.
