Kiki, I've never been successful with sobriety without being here at SR, but I wish you all the best.

OK, time for work. Day 8 and feeling great (I rhymed!)

Howdy gang. Loving the kid stages talk. I remember being pissed when I found out the terrible twos was a misnomer, lol.

Kiki - don't want to see you go, but hoping you find what you need for you.

PJ and Sam - glad the headaches went away.

Bobbie, Purp, MITA, BBG, LG and anyone else I missed - have an awesome day!

Kiki is SR the ONLY thing different? Sorry hon, I think you need more help not less. Even if one of us aren't on there are always people in the newcomers section to help. I wish you a ton of luck but if a SR hiatus doesn't help please get your butt back here. We are ALL so much stronger together!

Hola all!
I'll miss seeing you about Kiki! But do what you think is best for yourself!

I think it's supposed to hit 80F here this weekend. Not bad for February!
I am closing on my first rental property today. Between fixing that place up to rent out and spring projects at my own house, well, no more problems being bored on weekends! I'll be busy all the time! Yay me!

I'm thinking about starting potty training this weekend. I kind of want to do it while my husband is out of town because even after 3 kids he acts like a little pee is like spreading anthrax around the house. He will just add undue stress to the situation I really have no desire to potty train right now but I have less desire to deal with him on top of it. Ugh

Thought for the Day

Besides our jobs, our families, our friends, and our sobriety, we have something else that many of us found through A.A. That's faith in a Power greater than ourselves to which we can turn for help: faith in that Divine Principle in the universe which we call God and which is on our side as long as we do the right thing. There have been many days in the past when, if we had taken an inventory, we'd have found ourselves very much in the red, without sobriety, and therefore without jobs, families, friends, or faith in God. We now have these things because we're sober. Do I make one resolution every day of my life to stay sober?

Meditation for the Day

Love the busy life. It is a joy-filled life. Take your fill of joy in the spring. Live outdoors whenever possible. Sun and air are nature's great healing forces. That inward joy changes poisoned blood into a pure, healthy, life-giving flow. But never forget that the real healing of the spirit comes from within, from the close, loving contact of your spirit with God's spirit. Keep in close communion with God's spirit day by day.

Prayer for the Day

I pray that I may learn to live the abundant life. I pray that I may enjoy a close contact with God this day and be glad in it.

I got attacked by the AV today at Trader Joe's, freakin hag! She lost though and I walked out of there with no alcohol, take that witch! <insert middle finger here>

We went to babies-r-us today and got some under pants, a potty watch, a few books and a few cars. I still have the potty chair my older kids used but awhile back I bought him a miniature toilet. It looks just like a big one and it even makes a flush sound when you pull the lever. It is the cutest thing!! I guess we are off to the races tomorrow. I think I'll start after his nap, for the 1st day for both of us a 1/2 day will do.

Good luck PR!!! No matter what, it'll be easier than potty training a puppy

Sam - Congrats on 60!

Congrats on kickin' the hags butt PR.

Don't worry about the potty training. It'll work. I've never known a grown person that wasn't potty trained!

Kiki - Good luck. You'll always be welcome here - we'll surely miss you!!

All you people with baby responsibilities - have fun!! They usually grow up to be great people.. You might not think it possible, but you'll love them more in 20 years than you do now.

Having a little bit of a tough day myself, so thought it'd be best to post here. Just feeling a little "antsy" - busy/productive week, nice weather, looking forward to the weekend, yada yada yada.

I think I'm gonna head to the grocery store and find something new/different for dinner. Not sure what else. Maybe the movies later.

I'll check in again.

I figure I'm going to have a rough go at it for about a week, then he'll start to get it.

Thanks BBG!

Sending good potty vibes your way, PR

Nice work on 60 days Sam!

Something different is always a good distraction, MITA (it's an awesome song too!)

Finished another drum session.....this time we worked on improvising back and forth..
..instructor would play a couple of measures and then it would be my turn ~ whatever I wanted to play. I've never been good at being put on the spot ~ especially without having that "crutch" of an alcohol buzz to fall back on. I just freeze up like "Huh???" I guess that's where the whole practice thing comes in.

Evening class. I've got a stupid cough again. This time I have Vick's to put on my feet so it doesn't keep me up all night. I've never had a winter where I've been sick back to back like this. It's been a rough one for a lot of people. Thankfully it's just a respiratory thing, no stomach bug or flue (knock on wood).

Counting down to bedtime.
