I Will Not Drink/Use Today Part 3
Gleefan! The flu is so awful. Rest and rest more -- don't even think of trying to do anything else. ((glee))
on my end, nice day here -- I started out anxious, but an hour of birdsong helped with that, as did a good lunch.
No drinks sun or stars.

No rest for the weary. Both kids have hockey tournaments today -- in different locales. I've been in no condition to to anything much less schelp to hockey rinks. Fortunately I feel a little better today.
Forward tripping on my half of the responsibilities created a ton of anxiety for me yesterday. I reached out to my sponsor to let it all out. She was happy to help me enter problem-solving mode.
Today would be better spent as a rest day but I've got some adulting to do. Gonna do it sober.

Lemon and ginger tea, chicken soup, Vicks chest rub, vit C, hot broth, tomato soup with toast finger (and lots of pepper), hot sweet coffee, plenty of water, coke, brufen, tissues, lots more tissues, chap stick, B grade movies, hot steamy shower, chocolate....
Gleefan - ugh, the flu; it is so very miserable - I am so sorry.
Be good to yourself; rest; rest; rest. If you can get chicken soup down, go for it; if not, just hot chicken broth helps.
Get well soon, sweetheart.

Well I'm sober so far today and I'm putting my plan for the day into action to keep it that way. Starting here.
Gilmer -- I agree the thing w/Ibuprofen is to take it on schedule and if you can, before strong discomfort sets in. Also I take a bigger dose early and then go down when my arthritis is really bad.
Glee -- I admire you for rising to the occasion w/your sons, and for talking to your sponsor about the strain. I hope she suggested asking someone (another parent on the team?) to help out. Stay hydrated and whenever you're not "on call," crawl into bed and crash. Save as much energy as you can for getting better!
