I Will Not Drink/Use Today Part 3
Hello sober friends,
I'm glad everyone is committed to staying sober, no matter what's going on. My oldest, who's 12, had a stomach bug all day on Christmas. He's an otherwise healthy kid, and it resolved quickly, but he was so down and out over being sick *on Christmas.* I would have been bummed too if I was a kid, but in all honesty I may have been down and out over his quickly resolving stomach flu a few short years ago when I was still drinking.
I think sobriety has given me tools to be a (slightly more) mature adult.
Carlos - I hope you enjoy basking in the Florida sun!!
Gilmer - That's quite an ordeal between you and your acquaintance. It resolved quickly; I'm glad you didn't have to stress over it for long and are on good terms again. Whether online or in real life, you never know what will happen.
Toml - Really nice progress you're making, using your tools to push away the cravings, and do the right thing. In a time of stress, or a frustrating situation, I find that saying the serenity prayer helps. It has a way of applying to many different situations where I'm distressed.
Hayden and Badger - Nice job on another 24 hrs of sobriety.
Bimini - Sobriety has become a way of life for me. I'm very grateful for that.
Courage - Enjoy your trip!
PJ - Hope you're doing well!
Have a clean and sober day, everyone!

Okay, that is one of the weirder things I've seen on the river. ...a couple guys just paddled by in their kayaks and they each had a bicycle strapped to their boat. Half of the bike in the front, and the wheel in the back.
Odd. I mean I do live on a bike trail that is next to a river, but it's still unusual.

Hi all...just a pop in on a busy day. I need to get my stuff together and get to the beach!
Happy to see such a strong conviction to this wonderful way of life that we have collectively chosen.
I must concur, toml...I shall not drink/use on this beautiful day made for the beach...and you cannot make me.

I like that, Tom!
How are you doing, Badge?
And you, Greg, Haydentree, Bim, Carlos, and Courage? I know I'm missing people. Check in!
We really miss you, Delizadee. Hope you are OK and not overwhelmed by the crushing pressures of life.
