And hello everyone. Congrats on 175+ Bobbie and almost nine months PJ and Upstairs. Also to any others on milestones with which I am unaware.

Sorry to hear of so many struggling, which is what I'm doing also. Went on a Thanksgiving bender as I had five days off which never happens - I fear time off for just that reason. Perhaps when I am really rooted in sobriety I can do something nice. I don't know if I'm waiting for a "rock bottom" moment or what but I'm sure taking my sweet ass time getting there. Still fighting though.

Best wishes to all for more sobriety, less struggles, peace and happiness.

Thirteenth - I hear you on the "waiting for rock bottom" possibility. Just check my SR join date. I've had tons of sober days but I always fit in those eff-it days (or weeks). So clearly I'm still waiting on figuring out the missing puzzle piece. But we're here! Wishing you peace tonight as well, friend.

Thanks, March, for helping me get through Day 2 once again.

You see Bobbie, I looked up bickie before I posed the question...

I always fear giving blood out of a concern for being found out, but also for wasting a drive's time and money - then they test it and maybe have to chuck it on account of my alcoholism. Weird dichotomy there. Well, maybe not exactly a dichotomy, but close enough.

I have a beard too PJ, but damn the gray...who the hell am I kidding it's Santa white at this point.

ME TOO!!! With all of these great ideas from our lists, we should have plenty to do once we all get together for our reunion!

Ok, time for Purps to get up and do this.

I like the lion meme, Purplrks.

One of my kitties got into a catfight two weeks ago and wound up with a giant vampire bite on his neck, which abscessed, and cost me $186.

Gotta love them kittiecats though. He's a black and white marvel. An athletic thing to behold.

Stay sober everyone. There's no other way.

I have not watched that movie in years. Definitely a classic.

Trying to get my head together before a busy day. Some headphones and Mark Knopfler should help.

Happy Hump Day!!

20-
-Documentaries on everything. Blackadder. Monty Python (nobody expects), Recovery comedy- any brit drama, crime, forensic, dark comedy.
- Art- with anything, anywhere to express, feel, learn, create and be at peace. A pencil and the back of a use envelope works for me
-Gym stuff- an empty milk carton is a 2kg dumbbell.
- Meetings- SMART and AA
- Botanical Gardens
-State art gallery
-Markets
-SR
-10000 steps (done 2 this week plus 1 smash it gym, bit sore 2nite)
-People watch/profile while walking- I make it like a brit drama- that person is a.....
- Creative cooking with raw, basic vegies (no choice on that one)
- Write/journal
- Learn about myself
- Google complete crap on anything that appears in my head.
-Keep, review. add to and cross of stuff on a bucket list
- study something new
-Do not drink
-When walking - an act of appropriate kindness for a stranger. Like giving a homeless man a ciggie when he is begging for money which would be spent on alcohol. (cannot afford to buy food for others)
- give blood
- Every day- clean, sort, file, budget- do something different.
-Do an activity completely out of your comfort zone- growth.
- Gardening
-Work out how many hours you spent on drinking a week and make a plan to replace that number with positive activities.
-If you drive- catch a tram or a train to somewhere different for a picnic.
-Sleep in your bed the other way around
- Go for another walk and pretend you are the normal one and everybody else are secretive alcoholics.....think that is about right....

My husband does a beard at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

OK, he really just "doesn't shave" during those periods. Doesn't get to full beard status.

Good morning, day 3 (again).
I guess I need to fix my attitude about this.
Good morning, my last day 3 ever!!

Everyone have a great day. My first decision to make this morning was French Vanilla or Peppermint Mocha creamer. My second decision is whether to send my son to pre-school with pink tinted eyes but no pain/itchiness, etc.

I've never seen Drop Dead Fred.

I stopped last night and bought vodka. I looked at it for hours. Had trouble sleeping. Woke up at 3 am and poured it out. I don't know why I bought it and that scares me. The smell was pretty gross. Who'd have thought. Anyway, felt the need to fess up.

Love you all. Day 178. Thank God.
