Kayak! BBG! Purplrks! Good to see you, friends!

This evening can just get along now, please and thank you. My son's eye now has a pink tint to it. Snot buckets. Ear infections. I blame Canada. Er, I mean, I blame our trip to Great Wolf Lodge, Canada. Haha. But seriously, germ pool. Literally. A pool.

Cannot WAIT for my Coconut Iceblock tonight!

Pink eye is rampant here Apple....lol.....it's how we tell ourselves apart from the Americans. Hotel pools are the worst though...well any public pool really...yuck. Hope it passes quickly. P.S. What's Coconut Iceblock?

The "manup" version of the popsicle, per PJ!
A coconut flavored popsicle.

I do love me some coconut.

one thing I'm starting to learn about sobriety is you can't just stop drinking you have to completely rebuild your life for it to work.

There's a facility in Arizona called Sabino Recovery ~ I wish I could afford it....plus I probably wouldn't ever want to leave! One of the topics on their site is "Neuroplasticity" - retraining the brain. I could use some of that! Could be a homework assignment, perhaps?

Yes my attitude definitely needs a good kick in the butt....at least I made it to the gym today.

You guys are awesome!

Right. Can't just do the same things and say "I'm not going to drink." That's like waking up tomorrow and saying," I think I'll run a marathon." YOU NEED A PLAN.

Then, you need to execute that plan. You can do it! I promise. It might take a few coconut ice blocks though. And lots of tea. And chocolate.

Purple, I had thought about hypnosis at one point. Therapy seems to be helping though. I'll find you an assignment. Give me a minute.

BBG and Kayak, great to have you back!!

Sometimes I find it helpful to remind myself that not only do I need to do things differently but that I really WANT to do things differently. I'm not getting sober just to do all the same things I was before (although my daily routine is largely unchanged). There's a lot of things I want to do that I can only do sober.

I'm gonna go do something manly now - maybe schedule a pedicure or something

Purpl - thanks for that link. That place looks awesome. Who would want to leave, right? I like that brain re-wiring stuff - pretty interesting.
