Look at it this way, InPar--the universe has probably spared you from something rotten! Maybe you actually got off lucky!

Therapy session went excellent she was seriously impressed we spoke about what my last 2 weeks were like and I spoke about ringing the job and how it affected me & how I was glad I did make the call but to pace myself

It went so well she's mentioned there's a thing to help me get bk into work and studying (if that ain't a sign) she said if you feel up for it I can call you later with the ppl I said yes please

I'm not doing justice to how well this session went I feel awesome

Touching base with her in september but later on today aswell

Then I phoned my eldest sister and had the best conversation with her all year I love getting on with her need to phone my other sister I try not to bug her as she is doing amazing

I feel good sent my sister a ton of music

WTG, Petals!

I agree IP, his loss.

Wolfie, sounds like you're in a really good place right now. Sobriety is a great state to live in

Talked to my brother last night. Mom still insists that she has room for more of her stuff. I floated the idea of maybe going home this weekend to help sort things out, however we both decided it'd be best for me to wait until the end of September like I originally planned. My brother decided to cut back on his visits and I agree that's a good idea. Mom needs to interact more with the other residents and can't be dependent on us to come running every time she calls. It's still hard, but we're learning as we go.

Have a great Thursday, gang!

Got on the old scales last evening and again this AM. Last night was 199.8 today was 200.3. I have not weighed that little in ages. I attribute most of it to not slugging booze.

Have a good one Overs.

Congrats on the weight loss Drake!
SW you sound very positive lately. I hope your blisters heal soon.
FBL it might be hard for your mom at first but when she makes connections there it will be for the good.
Wanted to tell you guys about this music streaming site called Magic Transistor. It's really cool, they have four "channels" that stream all kinds of rare, classic, b-sides, etc., all genres, 24 hours a day. I have it on pretty much whenever I'm home. SW I think maybe you'll like it.
I know it's his loss, about the stand up. But seriously disappointing, there was zero indication he was going to do that. How can people be so inconsiderate? Sheesh. Like it's so much work to just cancel. Seriously though, I'm not feeling real hopeful about romance at the moment.

Oh yeah...what the heck is the Prince's Trust?

Hey all!
I've been busy helping family. Yesterday my MIL died. I have pics of a week ago where she was sitting on the side of the bed and responsive. Yesterday gasping and unresponsive until she went.

It's a case of thank goodness it wasn't any longer as she was in terrible pain. Hospice had her "comfortable" with sedation. My wife is over at my FIL's helping with making final arrangements and all yesterday and last night we were over there.

I will really miss her, she will be missed by all.

They are going over to pick out a plot and that is not my call so I'm here on our property waiting for the contractors. Only need to finish installing the natural gas lines and then the electrician will be back Sunday as he bungled the job of laying the underground wiring for the house. He did not pull a permit and tried to get away with burying it only 6-10 inches instead of 24" as code calls for. It seems a competitor called in and made a complaint and the inspector checked and no permit was pulled for the work. So my place has been delayed an extra two weeks by that. He'd better get it right because the inspector is the head guy who is great in my book. I honestly did not check codes. He was hired by the contractor for the house, not me.

So daily I am here showing each one where the lines are and making sure no more skating contractors get by.

Sorry all, I am worn out and just need a few nights good sleep without interruption. We love our little 5th Wheel RV, but are long past ready to sleep in our own bed.

I don't nap but I think I need one today and it's only 4 PM. Glad we bought a lot of frozen dinners for the duration. I think I'm ordering pizza tonight. I'm fine, just in a support role for the wife and family.

I'm sorry for your loss Itchy

And sorry about all the recent permit bs you deserve better for the serious hard work you put in the evidence is in the past posts & threads of how much you personally made this happen with a continuous hard work ethic I respect that a lot

Here for you Itch hope the wires get buried at the correct level at least the inspector sounds ok
