Evening overs, I wonde, Andy if that's why we've got shoots coming up all over, I thought it was the birdies, chucking seeds about. Could be both.

Thanks toots, very clever these squirrels , except when they forgot where they hide their nuts!

What is it either beards at the moment. They must be 'in'. I love them by the way, been trying to grow mine for years, not much success, mwaaahh . Hubby's got one and he's gone grey and white last few years so if it grows any bushier I'm renting him out at Christmas as Santa Claus.hehe.

We've got some beautiful weather in the UK , a bit too hot for me if I'm honest, can't be out in it too long, what's the saying 'mad dogs and Englishman Go out in the midday sun' .

Hope you're hanging in there Wolfie. We're thinking of you.

Memories

I remember being so "hyped-up" about finally being able to post in the one year and over thread, and now I don't even post in it.

What's with that?

Have a great day anywho

Hi Airwick, welcome.
Also welcome Flyby.

Wolfie I'm so sorry for your loss.

Rainy day here. We get some good thunderstorms.
I'm building this strange thing called confidence.

Feeling a lot better today the shock is gone more just accepting what has happened today and trying to move forward ppl are already talking about the fuenral none of my family see eye to eye so thats making it more difficult ive been offered a lift from family in scotland but i dont want it to look as im choosing sides i was planning on staying at a hotel to avoid awkwardness and any family rows etc

Just got to keep my head up & keep my heart strong (to qoute ben howard)

This will get easier as time passes i want to thank every single over who reached out reading all the msgs made me feel not alone at all & you guys are like my family my sober family

It has been a nice couple of days. Playdates and beach trips. Busy enough that I'm not lonely and not too crazy that I'm overwhelmed. Going back to the AA meeting tomorrow. I've secretly really been looking forward to it and hope it gives me the same feelings and sense of belonging I felt the first night. I'm not sure the protocol from here. I didn't share when I went last, only had a couple quick intros during the break, and left pretty much when it ended. I don't want to feel pressured to jump right into all things AA but I also don't want to be overlooked because I have three years sobriety and am not reaching out. I am terrified of public speaking and am not good at reaching out to new people. Especially for help. Ah well, just rambling. Thanks for listening.

So sorry to read your news SW. FWIW I think staying in a hotel is the 'right' thing to do - book and pay for it straight away so you can just say to people 'oh, I've already paid for a room...'. My thoughts are with you through this time.

Hi everyone! Things are ok with me so that's good.

I agree with Dee and feeling good , wolfie, hotel good, you can have your 'own me' time in an hotel. Keep your chin up, wolfie.

OLL , I know we're not face to face here ( good job, you should see the state of my hair!) but it's like talking to old friends so ramble all you want when you visit, I do! It gets things of your chest and there are so many words of wisdom to take away with you.

I'm like you with not liking public speaking but your AA group may soon begin to feel like you're part of the family.

Hi airwick how you keeping?

Hi feeling good and itchy.

I spoke to doc last week and we halved my anti depressant meds. You know, I can tell! I've been a bit down and before work on Monday just didn't want to face it, depressing times normally at the moment at work, so I booked Tuesday off as a holiday day, just for some me time. Pottered about watched a bit of Wimbledon and feel somewhat better today. There's a lot going on in my brain, lol.
