Hi gang,
It's a rare day when our high temp is the same as New England. No deep snow here to wade through.....sounds like a good workout though. Spending time in the sunshine sounds great.
Like y'all, I've certainly had Briar on my mind today......I'm sure it's been daunting for her.
I'm not as well read as you guys, but I am compiling a list of the suggested books and plan to get the order on the way. I hope everyone is doing well here midweek. I'm watching the forecast to guide my weekend plans....hopefully outside stuff!

Good to see ya here, Briar! Keep us close. I've been thinking of you lots.
Good morning BD, Stay warm
ToNIGHT is my first church group (remember, I tried to start a week early and ended up at an empty building. Lol) So I'm most excited for the opportunity to make some new, positive friends. Fingers crossed for a fun evening
I had a disturbing drinking dream last night and woke up feeling...ew. I was in a new home that I had purchased and had all of my family over to see it. While they were enjoying themselves, I was sneaking glugs from a huge plastic bottle of cheap poison...not too far from my reality of 5 months ago... Shudder
Shaking it off with a cup of hazelnut coffee and some "move it" music
Luv y'all!

How are things, Briar? Did you get into the outpatient program?
I want so badly to drink last night. I was feeling crappy, overall, and alone for the evening parenting, which included driving each kids to sports practice, one ended at 8, the other began at 8, two different places. I am magical. Getting each to and picked up on time, lol. These many trips to and from school gyms took me past a little last ditch wine store no less than 4 times, and a more upscale one at least once. Ugh. I drove on by, and had a few Dove Promises(chocolate) when I came home. I feel better this morning, but an just flat out exhausted this week. I don't know why that tired, crappy feeling makes me want to drink when i really need some good sleep.
It was helpful that I have Lent and good ole Catholic guilt helping me along. What will I do once Lent is over is the question. But with 6 solid weeks under my belt, I hope my last drink will be far enough behind me that I have a clearer vision moving forward.

I agree Conquest.....phoebe is Super Mom! And yes, got back and biceps done this morning...worked in a few changes on my sets.....i love it.
Phoebe, when Lent is over (i grew up in the Methodist and Presbyterian tradition) it will hopefully be turning a bit more towards spring for you guys, or at least seeing some glimmer of it. I'm looking forward to that for you, Arbor and BrighterDays. That change of season should help add a little pep in your step. Six weeks is great and I am glad you didn't give in last night. This morning should feel good knowing that you pushed through.
Hope you guys have a nice Thursday.....as the weekend approaches I'm gonna double, triple, quadruple my efforts at a positive attitude! I gave away last weekend to negativity. But sometimes I do think we have to feel the way we feel for a little while just to get through it. I just don't always know when to rally and put my big-boy pants on!

Thanks FAD. Yes, I need spring. And I need ot exercise consistently. I did crank out 30 minutes last night and this morning on my elliptical. it is a start. Did some floor work too. I am in terrible shape and have put on weight. Between lapses and drinking 500 -700 calories here and there and eating to satisfy cravings, it has been a roller coaster ride of bad nutrition for me. Tightened up on that(again) this week. But, once again, a birthday. Husband has a bday today. So, we are dining out and having ice cream cake. I will try to choose a decent meal, and skip cake. Already looked at the menu online. I will have the salmon with beets, and sub in a veggie for the potato hash. Maybe spinach or broccoli.

Hi guys. My friend just left and I am in town with hubby. We had a great time.
But now I want to drink so badly. I think I've got a little cold going on and I normally drank through them so I think that is contributing to the want.
I am 7 days again today. I don't want to throw it away.
Hoping posting will settle my mind.
I picked up Big Hero 6 for us to watch tonight. I hope it's good. I LOVE Disney.
Good to see you Briar.
Phobe you are supermom! Great job on passing up the wine.
