Hey y'all. Sorry I've been mia. I got a job working as a telemetry tech at the hospital working overnights, which, thankfully, spares me the want to drink for at least 4 days out of the week. Sad to say I've been binging once a week from November... up until 16 days ago. Once a week is way better than what I was capable of.... but also way less than what I'm *capable* of, you know? (Total abstinence) Anyway, Happy to be back at 16. Much love to all and I will try to check in more often.

Thanks dee!

Love love the Richard Simmons quote determined! Lol. Speaking of this wiggle wiggle movement, have been taking the stairs at work (10 floors up) turns out I have two legs instead of a mass of solid knee blubber. Who knew huh? Lol.

Hey all

Up and about early. Going to get a coffee boost then heading to the gym - not a major workout, I want to sit on one of the bikes and do a slow pedal whilst watching the Australia tennis final, ha ha. So this starts about 9am and last year I remember opening wine to watch it. What a change this year.

Hoping everyone has a great day and fingers crossed for a UK tennis victory :-)

Sunday fun day comrades! A big high five and howdy to blackbird!! Great to see you!

I am doing the same as London, coffee then gym. I too, have many of those pictures!

Choobie, this came to mind when reading your post yesterday,

"To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of true happiness." Bertrand Russell.

Giggle.

Bbf welcome back, and massive congrats on 16 days 😊 so good to see you back! Glad works going well, we've missed you x
Rah, a week today for you my friend! Well done honey xxx
London hope you enjoyed watching the open at the gym xx
Hope everybody has had a lovely day today.

I went for a country drive through a set of droves we haven't ventured to before. and saw 7 barn owls. First a pair hunting, then a pair in trees, then a single one in a barn window, then a single flying in a dike, then the seventh one eating lunch in a ditch near our home. I've only ever seen one in a day! We shall be returning there next Sunday at 4 is to see if they are all out for dinner again, amazing! Now snuggled up on the sofa about to watch the life of pi. It's cold here. Fire is on, hot water bottle, blanket, pyjamas a day dressing gown, but my nose is so Cold!

We have dignity in action bake sale tomorrow. I baked citrus cupcakes, vanilla cupcakes, shortbread, peanut butter cookies, and white choc and raspberry cereal snacks. Hoping for a busy successful day at work. Just love my job. I'm so lucky 😊

No more news here, I'm mending well, nearly back to normal hurrah!

Just a quick post!

Blackbird! So happy to have you back! This has been a great week for a few of our team members to get back on track.

1step, I turn my home phone and cell phone off when I go to bed. You might want to try to meet your friends for non-drinking outings - like exercising or a movie or seminar.

London, if the SuperBowl weren't starting so late, I would suggest you watch it to see American football.

Determined, that is another great quote.

Rah, enjoy the party! You will be fine with the seltzer.

Pink, I hope you are not doing too much.....just all that baking would have done me in! I was thrilled with the two batches of fudge I made!

Greetings to everyone else. Bob and I are going to a neighbor's home to watch the game. This couple has their entire basement decorated for the Red Sox and Patriots.

Have a safe and sober day everyone.

17 days... just a quick check in. I'm working the next 4 nights, so I'm safe until Thursday. There was a big snowstorm here this weekend ... we got about 15 inches! Heading your way east coasters. Just what you need, right?

Thank you for all the warm welcome backs!

Pink 8 owls in one day?! So cool.

Hey all

Another sober Monday wake up. It doesn't get boring. It's cold but I brought myself a new jacket yesterday so I am warm.

Must get to work so catch you all later.

Scooter - I did consider staying up for the Super Bowl, it was just a little bit too late on TV after the early start. Hope you guys all enjoyed the game :-)

Magnificent Monday! Finishing a particularly darn good cup of coffee and getting ready to shovel. Thankful I have a driveway, a house and a shovel. Life is good my friends.

How about a little "Fast Freddy" Nietzsche to start this fantastic work week,

"We love life. Not because we are used to living, but because we are used to loving" Nietzsche.

Abundance.

Breathe, then smile!

Good morning,

Congratulations, Rah! You should have a proud smile on your face all day! You did it, AND you met new people that you liked. Good for you!

As we reach our six month mark, it is amazing to look back on our beginning posts and see how we have progressed.

What a football game! It was indeed SUPER!

It is snowing and blowing here, but the temp is supposed to go up enough to turn this to rain, then drop so everything freezes, which will be a big mess. I am not going to the Y or the library this morning. I will hunker down until this passes. I might start going through storage bins in my garage and decide what to keep, to donate, to trash, and I MUST watch "Downton Abbey."

Have a safe and sober day everyone.

Great Job RAH! Incredible Superbowl.

We had a small party. It gave me a chance to bust out the beer that's been in my basement fridge forever. One person brought a six pack and asked me to sample one with him (he didn't know I'm alcohol free). I told him I hadn't been drinking since my surgery- and toasted him with my sparkling water. No big deal.

Snow has delayed my flight to the West Coast so I'm going to miss a couple of days of the meeting.

Lets have a great week Team!
