You don't have to apologise to anyone JL my friend ~ what you need to do is find some new ways to cope when the going gets tough, or scary, or both.

Dee ain't that the truth !
Thank you for being here right now !
I'm not where I was a yr ago ( psycho-rehab),
But I'm identifying thing I see now. Why did I have beer in the house. How easy was it to become complacent with it being around. Instead of getting down about it I'm gonna start a positive fight in my mind and do what I can to learn to focus and stick to it.
And I gotta pray.
Right now.

I'm OK tiredofme. Pay got sorted. The pay chick left my boss high and dry..so he's super stressed. He actually decently explained it to me today. Nice.

And oh yeah, I hear you on Game of Thrones...I don't actually watch that.
But I am so into Orphan Black, and I am also having very weird nightmares about clones and all sorts of scary crapolla.

Bora Da Sparkos cariad. ... I gather this is good; what does it mean? (too lazy too go on Google for translation right now).

Bore da pawb a diolch yn fawr. Da iawn i ti tiredofme, Google translate?

Good morning Octsobers and thank you for allowing me to indulge myself in yesterday's yarn.

Glad to meet you Rico1983 and glad to see you back Findingtheway, 50 days today, that's brilliant.

Briar, thanks for the term SV, I hadn't heard that before and I'm glad you listened to it as well. BTW, you should really consider writing a novel. you express yourself wonderfully.

Sorry to read about your slip JL2014, but your attitude to bounce right back with better plans is just the ticket. Get rid of all the booze in the house. I doubt you would have gone to the bother of going to the store to get some last night. As I've said before, the greater the distance/time frome the thought of drinking to putting it to your lips, the better.

Venuscat, you're just lazy! Google translate is so simple.

Love to you all, my friends.

Briar, I am very proud of you and impressed that you pulled through that experience sober. I will try to learn from that.

JL, sounds like you suffer anxiety. You can change the way you think, as Dee has described. There are books that help with that. I have been able to deal with a lot of my stress and anxiety, but also, drinking makes it much worse, especially chronic drinking. I think you will find, with longer sobriety that your anxiety response ot situations becomes lessened.

Good morning Octobers. Friday here. No drinking tonight!

Almost finished season two (Orphan Black)...I was late to the party.
I think Season 3 will be March(ish) next year

At least Shameless starts back in January.

Ooh, some items for my Netflix list! Thanks, Venus! And I'm so glad to hear that your pay was delivered. How stressful!

(((Briar))) What you went through yesterday sounds like pure Hell. Treat yourself well today. I hope your day is much more peaceful.

JL, I love the idea of quickly dusting off and fighting back with positives. I remember you saying that you watch Joyce Meyers. I loved her book, Change Your Words, Change Your Life. Very powerful in my life!

Sparkos, 500!!! Thanks for having my back, friend. I'm honored to have yours as well.

Have a super sober Friday, amigos!

I am going through some stuff. Major stuff. I think I need to set myself up to go back into the world as a single mom. I have never had to break up with someone while I still love them. But the drinking and actions of my other half are too much to bear. He is currently not speaking to me and is extremely mad at me because of something he did while drunk. He became quite unpredictable Wednesday night and now sleepwalks and talks when he is drunk. It looks like he's awake but he just isn't there. He choked my dog and called me a few choice names. This can't happen right now. I make 100 a week. When I lost my job, he said just find something to make you pocket money. I'll take care of you. Well, the promise of a better life are going down the tubes due to his constant drunkenness. The house is falling apart and so is he. He blames me. I just received an email packet for a better job. I will be filling that out today

Jennifer

Wow, Jennifer. That sounds very difficult, and even unsafe. I hope the better job works out and provides you with choices.

Do you have a safe place to go if he gets violent again? Maybe tuck way a suitcase ready to go for you and the kids?

I am sorry you have to deal with this in the midst of early recovery.
