Class of April 2014 Part 16
Well, today I popped in to a shop to use the cash point machine, and as I was waiting I realised that this particular shop used to be one of my stop off points for a bottle of wine after work. The connection is still there in my brain. Anyway, there was some music playing, and I had to smile when I heard Dionne Warwick singing "walk on by". How appropriate that was. So I just "walked on by" past the wine, feeling great. What a difference a few months makes.
It's not that long ago that I'd be queuing up to pay, trying to justify another bottle. "just tonight" I can hear myself saying, "Oh look, their on offer, perhaps I'll buy two".
Crazy mind.
Hope everyone's having a good day.

Thanks again Fools, what a ride.

I'm so happy to hear of that good news, Obo!!
...brief update, I'm on day 12 or so. Lots of stuff coming up, emotionally, mentally, situationally, blah blah... dealing with it! Sober!! In fact I think most of this stuff is coming up because I am sober, and not drinking it away... this is actually a really good thing. Just really, really tough!!

Oh dear, it's still wet and windy this morning UP!
What happened to summer?
I'm up fairly early again. I love this time of day. I can eat my porridge in peace, contemplate the day ahead, and check in here. It feels great to wake up knowing that I can do my best, not hampered by a hangover or general malaise.
Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning y'all !
Don't know if I've ever seen the full moon detailed as clearly as it was this morning riding home from work this am just before 6am !?! My energy levels are improving by sleeping most nights at work, ...and starting the day with some warm-ups and stretching in the hot tub there.
We had a wind storm about a week ago before it started cooling off a little and have been burning about a million sticks and branches the last 4 days and bush hogging a little,....
Still have a little more exterior painting to do, ..and the weather forecast is still looking good !
Oh, !?? just had to share this little thing that seemed kind of funny ,....
This is pretty close to what my AV used to spout whenever I saw a * Please Drink Responsibly * Commercial !?!

Morning Fools! Hope you all are doing well.
Got a surprise this morning, the sun is out. I thought it was going to be another cloudy, rainy day.
I decided last night while lying in bed reading, because I couldn't fall asleep, that I refuse to let things in my life bring me down. Situations aren't going to last forever, if they don't work out, so be it. Relationships change, all I have are my feelings. I pray that things get better in the future, but my love will never die. If a relationship is meant to be it will be.
Ok, time to get off the soapbox. To quote Aerosmith "I'm back, I'm back in the saddle again!"
Have a great day everyone!

Just home from work, the weekend starts now, yippee!
UP, that's a great thought, not to allow outside events to effect your well-being. Hugs from me.
Relationships are a mystery aren't they?
There's no telling how things will work out in any relationship. I've recently found out that I didn't know myself terribly well, so I suspect I know everyone else even less well. It's no wonder that relationships are such hard work. Everyone thinking they know themselves and others, but actually not knowing either. It's amazing society works as well it does.
Yep, relationships are most definitely a mystery. I think the challenge for us all is to love whom we can despite the uncertainty.
By the way I'm in for the Fools Bargain this weekend. No alcohol would dare show its face around here.
