Ken,
thank God it is a frog, and not a giant rat!... well, it depends on how big it is.

And what type of frog - I've had to make a few emergency runs to the vet after hours bc of those horrible bufo frogs ...

What are bufo frogs and how did they hurt your dogs, Duff?

Not a bufo. Bufos excrete a poison. Can be hallucinogenic to humans, even fatal. Dogs and cats lick them and get poisoned.

We don't have poison frogs here but for some reason frogs must taste good because a lot of farm dogs lick bull frogs. Then they spit foam everywhere. The dogs, not the frogs. The frogs pee themselves. Ever picked up a bull frog and have them pee on you? They pee a lot.

There is your US Midwest nature trivia "fact" for the day.

Tomorrow I will tell you about June bugs and their attraction to door screens.

One would think that a dog would learn their lesson after being poisoned once, but not mine! Thanks for the trivia, Shoes, love to learn something new every day

Good morning Marchers Sunny and blue in paradise? Tick. Showers blowing over every half hour? Tick.

My goodness the fauna of the US is scary! Why do Americans worry about coming to Australia with our killer spiders and snakes when you have frogs that pee and frogs that excrete poison?

It's a public holiday here today, an entirely ridiculous public holiday. It is known as the Queen's birthday even though the Queen's birthday was back in April, this day in fact was her father's birthday but her father died over sixty years ago. Western Australia does not have the Queen's birthday today they have it in September and our cousin New Zealand had it last Monday. What happens on the Queen's birthday? Not much. Over half the country is anti-monarchist, a few honours are given out although most of us are more interested in the football results of whatever code we follow and the ski season is meant to start but it's always too warm so they have to make the snow. The Queen's birthday is a non-event.

Maybe we should import American frogs to liven things up on the Queen's birthday?

Have a good day peeps.

Feel free to stick around, FMFT! I actually got sober in November, 2013, but I crashed this group because it's rollicking and fun and highly welcoming!

Is that a bull selfie North? That's funny.

The little frog is cute Budd! Is he a swimmer? I'd hate to think he is going to fall in. Get him a ladder just in case.

I have no opinions on the royalty thing except I think it would be fun to have a king and queen. All we get is Abraham Lincoln Vampire Killer. We will turn anyone into a super hero. Which I think is odd. Isn't what the poor guy did already enough? Now he has to kill vampires too?

Well, another exciting week of work. Ugh. I really need to win the lottery. Sass, I wish I was retiring!

Nothing new here. Just another exciting day of wondering which flip flops should I wear today.

Have a great day or night buddies!

xoxo
