Class Of March 2014 Part 9
Oh, I am in here all alone, so I'll try to roll the thread while you are all doing your thing.
SO, guess what?
House is on Netflix now!!!! I'm so excited. I just finished Scandal and was searching for a replacement show. 177 episodes, I think. That's as good as 161 episodes of West Wing. I really loved West Wing.
I'm going to keep this thread alive single handedly.
Well, two hands, because it's easier to type that way.

Good evening fellow Marchers. End of the Easter holiday weekend and end of day 29 for me.
Bimini - I have been to a couple of meetings this week that dealt with fear vs faith. I needed that message heading into this weekend. I was so wracked with fear about getting through my first holiday without drinking. Especially the dinner with family we had planned for today.
But this morning I woke up feeling strong. Feeling better than I had in days. Church service today was peaceful. After the service I saw a man that I had seen in the "rooms" and I hugged him hello. He started to cry and said he was having a hard day- missing his kids. He just celebrated 90 days. I stayed after a few minutes and talked to him.
I spent an hour reading from the "living sober" book and then we headed out to the family dinner. I went to the bathroom and prayed as soon as I got there. Prayed for God to stay close today. Prayed for the fear to be replaced by faith. Prayed for my heart to be opened to bring more to the dinner than I take.
And you know what? I was not tempted once. I even watched as my cousin poured a rather strong drink right in front of me and I wasn't even slightly tempted. I spent the evening engaged with my son and my little 4 yo girl cousin who called me her best friend.
My fear was definitely replaced with faith today. I believe more now than I did before. The program is working for me, and I am eternally grateful.
So goodnight all... My everyone sleep in peace.

Sorry, was busy playing a computer game. My new thing is WildTangent Games. It came on my new laptop and you can play all kinds of games for free. I'm loving it since I've been sitting on the couch.
OH my gosh! I just got through a House marathon! I never caught it while it was on regular TV.
I have soo much stuff in my queue it's not even funny!
Great story, KimsFriend. Sounds like you had protection and love.
Armitage, you're doing great.
Ary, WildTanget - I used to play those. Hm, just what I need, more reason to sit in the computer chair.
Well, it's a nice place to sit. I have an Aero chair, and my seat looks out over the river. Today I saw the first baby Canada goslings. The parents only had seven. Some of them have like fourteen! Ugh. Like we need more geese. But the babies are cute, and it feeds the eagles and local wildlife.
I know, but they're G E E S E.

Oooh, babies!! I really like spring. The whole rebirth thing is really just a joyous feeling. I find it far more cleansing than New Year's ever was.
I like the idea of being able to try out games before buying them. Video games are rediculously expensive. There's actually one that I would consider buying. Lot's of content and challenges. I'm into adventure/puzzle games. I like stuff that requires a bit of brainpower. I should probably be grateful that I haven't heard of WildTanget before.
I've taken up using my laptop in the living room so I can have the couch, the TV and room for the kitties to lay on and surround me is nice.

And, Dee....
You ALWAYS find the best pictures!
Watching the Muppets was something I did on a regular basis as a kid. I remember it would come on at 6:30 at night (Saturday's if I remember correctly). When I was in second/third grade, I had a yellow lunchbox that had Miss Piggy in a purple body suit riding a motorcycle.

My big black cat has a seat between me and the window, at my knees.
He stares at me, then looks out the window, then stares at me, then head-buts the desk, then lays down and reaches his front paw out and pokes my leg, then murows, then stands up and steps one foot over to my knee waiting to be invited. He'll sit on my lap only as long as I am stroking his back and head. Makes typing tough.
This will go on all. day.

<laughs>
I have the musical lap! All four of the cats take their turn.
It's always fun to have a 22 pound cat stand on your legs and head butt you in the arm. Seriously, feels like a battering ram.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
