Hi everyone, day 17 and fairly uneventful. Went to the dog park with my dogs and met up with my daughter and her dog. Now going to try and get the lawn mowed before it rains, the fun never stops. Oh, and I get to poop scoop first :-)

Please add me!!! I'm on day 26. So proud to be part of the class...you guys provide so much inspiration!
Hi Guys! Ending day 19 here, almost 3 weeks! So great to see that many of us are doing so well. And for anyone struggling, we are here for you...
I have been busy, busy, busy...and beyond stressed. Tomorrow is the first day of school so as a mother and at teacher it's pretty much a double whammy for me. By the end of a nonstop busy day, of course, I want to drink, and honestly if I didn't already have these 18 days under my belt, I am sure I would have. My emotions were all over the place today...stressed, productive, unmotivated, laughing, crying, irritable, happy...but I got through it.
Your guys are wonderful, I look forward to a few quiet moments at the end of the night to read and catch up on how and what everyone is doing and read your thoughts.
Oh, one last thing, I got my blood test results back and since my last one over a year ago, my high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high glucose levels (I was considered pre-diabetic), slightly higher than normal liver numbers are ALL within NORMAL range now!! I KNOW that it is mostly to do the long stretches of not drinking I have had this past year and these past few weeks. Now I just need to lose weight and I will be the picture of health

I've gained 10 lbs over this last week and a half.
Think I'm munching too much to help with cravings.
I'm going to have to cut back on the snacks and exercise more.
I don't need to gain any weight, not a skinny Minnie here.

you don't have to do this alone... there's strength in numbers

You guys are the best
Thanks TR! I think this list is a good idea, not meant to be competitive in any way, but more a reminder of who we are, and how we are doing. It may also provide some accountability for all of us and serve as another motivation to stay sober!

So glad to run across your "just trying to keep healthy". I've been anxiously avoiding the question bc I didn't want to explain the "yadda yadda". Well done!!
Ps- y'all month is lovely, very supportive! Keep it up. I'm on day 2 in August. Your list is also inspiring!

Pamel, hope you got through a day? Have you been trying AA? Despite having some bad experience myself, AA really does work for many people. You'll have people physically there for you to support you through the first few hard days Worth a try?
I would try to write to you all individually, but I'll just give out a general message again... we rock! hehe. Hope you are all doing good and thank you for sharing your experiences. Its great to see how you are all doing, and you guys are helping to keep me focused
Day 14 for me today. Wow. Last night went to a pub with the usual suspects, had a coke, left early. I couldn't think of anything to say. Usually I'd get drunk and yap about total rubbish. I think its going to be a long while before I'm comfortable in them situations.
Stay Classy,

Day 6 here and facing the same challenge I did around this time last week (when I slipped) ..... in-laws coming over. I have a Dr appt so I need someone to watch my daughter and they are the only candidates for today. They are both retired and basically live to see their granddaughter. My mom still works full time or she would be my first choice. Don't get me wrong, my in-laws are wonderful people, but they are very different and just tend to get on my nerves. They used to live halfway across the country, but recently moved back here and now live 15 minutes away I have always drank to get through their visits. Just makes it more fun. Sad, really. They are very religious and don't touch the "stuff", although I think my FIL had a problem back in the day? Anyway, I am rambling. Feeling strong today and not going to make the same mistake I made last week. Will come here FIRST if AV ambushes me
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! Let's keep up the grest progress. You all keep me going
