Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a wonderful holiday today! Life is good here in CT even if it's a little hectic at times... just taking it day by day!

Hey good job INH... bet you feel a ton better in the morning now eh? Also in the wallet... ? When I think of my drinking days now it usually happens at night and one thing that I always remind myself of is that drinking might make me feel better for an hour or so NOW but it will ruin TOMMORROW! I don't miss it!

It seems hopeless

It's not hopeless James. Sometimes though we need more help that we'd like to admit to. I kept trying to quit drinking thinking that I should be able to just stop or that one day I would wake up and not want to, but it didn't work for me. I had to force myself to stop and be really strict with myself and get as much support as possible and then things started to get better...

I'm glad you're still checking in though x

Nothing is hopeless James xxx

I just think that whatever you're doing isn't working for you. And you really have to want to stop. Really look at what drinking is adding to your life right now. Is it worth it?

Xx

It's not hopeless James - but it is hard - if you want to stay sober, you need to make changes.

A lot of us put off those changes...and a lot of us lose things that are very dear to us.

I'm not trying to be a tough nut - I really have been there done that.

I hope you'll think about it. Drinking won't get better mate.
