I'm on Sober Day 41 now and I intend to make it to (and through) Sober Day 42.

Didn't make it home in time to sign in last night because I was hanging out at a bar...
...drinking Diet Coke and going over step work with my sponsor!
First time in a bar without actually drinking alcohol. Was strange but so glad I did it with my sponsor and then a few of our friends from our home group joined and we were out until 1am living it up. Never thought I could laugh that much and for that long without the aid of a drink.
Small miracles keep happening every day.
Anyway, it's 1:47PM in DC and I am about to head up to the wonderful city of Philadelphia for a weekend of gardening and spending time with my best friend. Might check in again tonight, too.
Happy, wonderful, productive sober weekend to you all!!

Funny excuses not to drink
No thanks I can't drink tonight...every time I drink I have more sex and I'm REALLY tired.
No thanks I am doing a test study. I want to know if I am really having fun or if my friends are lying about it.
No thanks my chaffeur is getting the squad car serviced tonite.
No thanks My new liver hasn't arrived yet.
No thanks I'll just watch.
No thanks I don't think those tables are strong enough to hold me up.
No thanks you think I'm gonna let someone drive my car.
No thanks I am allergic to alcohol, everytime I drink I breakout in handcuffs.
No Thanks Tequila makes my clothes fall off!
No Thanks when I drink gin, for some reason everyone around me gets really sensitive.
No thanks I am not available to sing in the band tonight.
No thanks there is no one left in the phone book to call.
No thanks my moonwalk is getting a little rusty.
No thanks no more room on my body for tattoos.
