Hi, all. Busy day today, so just checked in.
It's midnight here and March 14 started. It's hard to believe that five months I registered here on SR and quitted wine. It was also midnight, I was at my computer, I'm still at the same place physically, but some much changed!
Thank you, my friends for my new life and my sobriety.
And big and warmest congrats to my sober twin Escapist on this milestone

Hey gang, I have not had much energy today did not sleep well last night. I am going to make myself get on the exercise bike and try to do 30 mins!! Its cold and windy here, I feel like I just want to curl up under a blanket and do nothing 
.....Anywho, thought I would check in, sounds like some delicious cooking going on. We made homemade bacon and potato soup yesterday which is great for this kind of weather....Well gang off I go to pedal away some calories

Evening Undies
The curry went down well, very tasty, yellow Thai curry and rice etc. Followed by ice cream and strawberries and a cup or two of tea, dishes all washed and put away now, O is in bed and I'm going to have a lovely bubbly bath soon.
TTBABP, I forgot to say before that yes it's takeaway over here.
HD3 now you can say don't drink if the day ends in Y.
Oh yes of course Gilmer, constipation and what about diarrhea? We had to have something to settle our tums, even though it made it ten times worst.
My O.H is allergic to onions, they make him really ill, I have to replace them with leeks, not quite the same, but we're used to it now.

Nearly missed you there Nel, I keep looking at my exercise bike and one day I will remove the washing that is hanging on it and use it, one day!!
It's really cold here too and I can't wait to get my p.j's on.

I missed you Midnight so sorry, a big congratulation on 5 months!...To go with the wonderful Banana boys are the talented disco stick dudes
..Happy 5 months!!........Well gang I did 40 mins on the exercise bike!!! I put on my 80's music and went to town!!! I hope everyone has a great evening, off to take the dog out. Does anyone watch Survivor? Looks pretty good tonight, I am going to pop some popcorn and watch the drama unfold. 
I love that I actually remember what happened on the shows from the night before, sober life is good!

Another sunny day!
Its spring break and I am not working so I get to spend it with my 14 year old son. I spent so many years working and drinking and not being there for him, this is such a treat. I try not to worry about my future career options with my dui on my record and to just live in this moment, right now, with my son, right where I am supposed to be. The two of us will take our dog down the street to the dog park, its so pretty out, and the dog just loves it there. Its a good day to be sober. woop! woop!

Sorry folks for not participating much recently feeling a bit low and fustrated at the moment with my husbands drinking. Won't bore you all with the details but needless to say that all the drama that goes with drinking is starting to affect my mood.
Thank you all though for such positive and humorous posts. Happy most of you are all feeling good.

Nicky - I am sorry that you are having troubles with your husband's drinking. That must be awfully difficult for you. I do hope it gets better but I am certain that you are strong enough to get through whatever is thrown at you. You've alwasy been wise and helpful to others!

Caledonia, I so get the husband drinking my husband drinks nightly, he doesn't drink has much as I did, but it gets on my nerves for sure!!! Especially when he buzz talks!! Good gawd!!
I told him to night he needs to not drink, so far he his listening...I hope things will be better for you, and I hope your spirits will lift soon sending you a disco dude to cheer you up! Okay gang T minus 4 minutes to my show! Gotta get the popcorn going! Have a great night Undies! Off to watch T.V. drama..lol

MidnightBlue_ we have made it. The 14th of March makes our 5 months. It is also my birthday. I know you have a birthday on the 14th too. May, right? It didnt occur to me the significance of 14 back in October. Coming off a weekend of drinking Crown Royal Whiskey .I felt so sick. I have really traveled from that day. The first person who "spoke" to me here was Dee. He moved my post and made it a thread. I thought he was a nice girl. The name Dee you know. Ha Ha. Thank you for welcoming me that day Dee. It worked out for me here. I havent had a drink since we met. How about that? Unbelievable.
