Squizz I loved reading this.
So many posts lately on SR about moderation it's great to read something like this. Motivates me. Even at a year, meetings every day. Awesome. Pedal to the metal.

Yep, because now I am in a position to give back. I actually have something to offer. I've taken on service positions two nights a week. I try to give back when and where I can.
Hey Novies! Still clicking along here in Panama. 10 more days to 1 year. Question for you guys who have already hit a year or who are about to.... did you notice your cravings spike(pun not intended) the closer you got to a year? The last 2 weeks have been crazy with wanting "a glass" (I quote "a" because we all know I want the entire bottle - but the technically the bottle is "a" glass right? -#alcoholicjustification) of wine or "a beer". The drinking dreams have been off the chain too. Just wondering if anyone else saw an increase in these things just before you hit a year, or are you experiencing it now. Thanks for listening and congrats to those who have made it this far... and to those who didn't...we are all still pulling for you and sending you love and support!
I think year cravings are pretty common Ella. Might be a PAWs thing, or just the subconscious idea that it's been a year - maybe we're cured? lol
Stay strong!
have a good weekend all

Good to see you sister. Congrats. I had a few odd feelings knowing I was getting close. More like 'I hope I don't screw this up now. Just need to get to a year' kind of thinking.
Hey guys, one year for me tomorrow. Strangely fitting my sobriety date is one day before Remembrance Day here in Canada.
What a year it's been. Lots of ups and downs, but one thing is for sure, I have never taken my sobriety for granted. Lots of challenges in year 2, it's a tough one a lot of people seem to struggle with. When it comes to my sobriety, I always gotta remain humble, no ifs ans ors about it.
Thanks to everyone here, especially VR and FMFT. You guys have been a rock of support for me the entire year and always had kind and wise words for me when I was struggling.
Bring on year 2!

Sisterella - it was great to hear from you and glad you are doing well. I was thinking of you recently and wondering how you were. Great job and hang in there with those cravings. Almost a year - awesome!!
Congrats Nomis. Pretty awesome achievement. Good comment about year 2. The race isn't over yet is it. Well keep up the good work. No longer counting days, but years. Thanks for everything.
