Just got in from our dr's appointments and running errands. And yep....all I can think about is a darn cocktail of some kind or a nice cold beer. It's sunny and wonderful out and the thought of it is eating at me. So far, I've managed to stear clear, but dang it's so horribly hard. I have to catch up on all the posts since yesterday. But, I will do so once I unpack my groceries. This is Day 3 - my first Day 3 since last month when I was on a wonderful trip to the straits of Mackinac with my Mom), so I don't want to blow it.
Any way....I have to see how everyone is doing. I hope well. I've been thinking of you as this urge eats me up. But, I keep picturing us toss bricks (forget the stones), at the darn booze bottles showing it who's boss.

I keep thinking of how pissed I will be tomorrow if I cave. But Fridays are SOOO much beer days for me. My big reward. I need another reward. Had to finally turn my phone off because of the texts to my cell from buddies out drinking at our haunt. It is driving me nuts. Gonna take a hot shower and just deal. I can't lie. I love beer. But it doesn't love me.

Oh my word....I just ate a whole box of Swedish fish. I'm so anti-sugar (as much as I can be), granted alcohol does not help sugar levels.....and I just ate a whole box! Not something I want to get into a habit of doing.....but I bought them for our possible trip to VA next month as a little road trip snack....and I just ate them all. Ah well....maybe the horrible stomache I'm going to end up with will deter any more thoughts of alcohol. I'm actually laughing out loud as I can't believe what I just did.
Whoever knows what they are will know what I'm talking about. You can just eat one....or 30.

Stick with me on this. Trust me - my hubby is riding around mowing the yard sipping on a stinkin' beer, but I can't do it. It looks so refreshing, but NOPE. I, too, will not be happy come morning. It gets better...we just have to stick with this.

Headches are pretty common in early recovery - but please check with your Dr if you're concerned or in pain.
