I've spent a day shopping with 4 teenagers. Am considerably poorer financially but we had a good time. Sunday shopping minus a hangover is still a relatively new experience for me, and it's much easier. However did I cope when I felt sick and dizzy all day?!?

Ok. I'm on a countdown now.....5 more days at work before we break up for the summer. Although I've got lots of planning to do over the holidays, I can do it in my own time and from home.
I'm sooo looking forward to the break!!!

I have one more big boozy event to go to this week and then I'm done! No more forced drinking situations. I can't wait. I'm going to do nice sober stuff where I won't feel tense and on guard

Morning everyone. My head is in a whirl with everything I need to get done for work before the end of the week, plus there are a couple of Jon opportunities coming up that I need to consider.... Hmm.
Had an excellent AA meeting last night which has helped me stay afloat in the turmoil.

Yeah, 'jon' opportunities didn't really sound good 
Well, I'm doing great and looks like everyone else here is doing great also. I posted a super long 'sermon' on the July page. Day 12 and I really have no desire for alcohol.

Yay R4R!!! So glad to hear that you're doing well!
I hope everyone else is well! I'm on vacation in NYC and just relaxing in the hotel with my cream sodas. Going to a Yankee game tonight with two of my brothers and I was just thinking about how much $$ I'm saving... a pint of beer is like 12.00usd there and I would probably have 5-6! I love being sober.

Does anyone ever have days where they're convinced there is some conspiracy to make them drink...? I've been 3 members of staff down at work today and haven't stopped. I ended up having to do other peoples work and it's left me a bit hyper and unable to wind down. Plus tomorrow is a boozy day, a friends wedding which I'm playing at too. Booze plus stress! Yay. Oh, and tomorrow is my birthday. First sober birthday ever (well since I was 13 maybe), hopefully! Wish me sober calmness

Hypo.... praying peace for your mind and heart as you do what you have to do tomorrow. That there would be a hedge of protection around you that will keep your focus away from the alcohol. Besides... you've come too far to blow it. Where's it going to get you???
