the monsoons have arrived, i will be swimming home from work.
Can I whine about missing Dee???? I don't want to hurt Ann's feelings.
the temps are fairly warm here, it's about 44 degrees...but last night it was COLD and windy...Sammy did not want to take a long walk and neither did I. but he air dryed. it is now the MUDDY season. ICK. dirty, wet, damp and annoying.

Although the temps have been a miniscule warmer.....I'm cold, like my bones are cold from this damp weather and I can't stand being cold much longer!
I REALLY NEED SOME SUN!
I REALLY NEED SOME SUN!
Oye...I did something stupid...actually I thoughtlessly said something that was stupid....and um again: what I said was totally completely thoughtless.
Of course it truly was by mistake but I still feel bad about it...badly enough to whine about it to y'all.
I ran into an old friend at one of our fav shops and as we sorted through some fancy sheets & pillowcases she noticed something about a particular set that wasn't right....and that's when I said it.
:chatterI simply reacted foot-in-mouth style with: "Good eye!"
The problem is that she only has one seeing eye....the other is a prosthetic one.
duh & sheesh.
I apologized right away and she was very gracious and seemed fine about it all until a few minutes later when she softly said "oh....now I get it." She was still very gracious but still....
Oye. Next time maybe I should try this>

cmc - There was nothing wrong with saying that! We've all heard the expression, "He has a good eye for art", or good eye for clothes - whatever. It was perfectly alright, that's what I say.
Fandy - Yes, big dogs with big muddy feet. I try to wipe the mastiff off with a towel, but it's hopeless. Then she runs as fast as she can & jumps on the couch, knowing I'll scream, "NO - not yet - you'll get everything wet!" She lives for that.
Does everyone know this Sunday is Daylight Savings Time?? I was clueless until just now.

Pattenat, you never fail to crack me up with what you can to with that mascot.
CMC, gotta quit while you're ahead, lol.....this from the Queen of "foot in mouth".
I'm off now for 4 days...perhaps the crankiness will depart.
Stay dry but not high, Whiners.
And don't forget to change your clocks Saturday night...spring forward one hour, surely a sign of spring, yes?

It's dark, raw, rainy and cold out.
I hope I can stretch the remaining oil in my tank to last until Spring...the "real" Spring...the kind of Spring where it's okay to open up the windows and air out all the winter cooties.
CMC - I agree with Hev about the "good eye" common expressions. My brother has a disability and prefers it when people don't tread so lightly around him about it.
(just sayin)
Isn't this the first official "early" Daylight Savings time that's coming up?
Someone was talking about it today...how wonderful that it'll be light out until 6:30pm yet she can't enjoy an iced-tea on her deck because there's still three feet of snow on it.
