It's been over an hour since the last/final cig. Am bored out of my mind right now and it's so damn hot can't stand to be outside very long, only enough for the dogs to go potty then right back in the house. Am craving a cig badly but not getting any more, besides I have no money to buy any, so that helps. I've told everyone I'm quitting so can't cheat. (I didn't tell my elderly mom as she thinks I quit last year!)

I've never been a 'few a day' smoker, always smoked like a chimney, one after the other. This will free up over one hundred dollars a month which should be more than enough for dog-related expenses.

It took me 40 yrs to finally quit... but better late than never.

Call out to Toronto....I heard you had an earthquake?

Didn't feel it up north here, but it sounds like it was a dandy and certainly worth a whine, yes? We don't get many earhquake whines in Canada.

Ann! stop smoking now!!! Least, you are making the right decision....I used to love to smoke DuMauriers when I went to visit the relatives in St. Catherines...(yes it was near the neighborhood of the famous murderess Karla).

Sammy does not dare to lift his leg at all, but he squatted on the bedroom carpet last Saturday night....before that it was one other time by the cat box....so he does pretty well as he gets more used to my routine and he knows what is expected of him. I am still crating him when I leave the house and at bedtime...he is quite capable of holding it from 11PM-5-6AM whne I get up....during the week at work it's about 8 hours for him. the minute I open the door we go right out....i want to avoid the wee-wee pad routine. I dont think he is ready to be confined to a larger space yet, couple more weeks with no accidents and i'll try it.....I did leave him and the cats alone inside with the run of the house for almost 30 min. with no accidents....I was like Inspector Cloussau when I returned...peering in every corner with a magnifying glass.

I bought everyone a big roasted rotissarie chicken for dinner.

there was a death of a young student on Long Island due to sheer stupidity of the school chaperones...who took the kids to a beach that was closed with NO LIFEGUARDS. the 12 year old girl got caught in a rip-tide and drowned.....where are the brains of these people? a school trip not researched? no life guards on duty and they let the kids in the water????

this one restaurant in NYC is costing $55.00?? for a cobb salad??? i will stay in NJ(30 miles west) and eat salad here....made at home with chicken and fresh dressing for about $2.00....ridicules...even $55.00 for a lobster salad is just SILLY!

Ann, yes, I thoguht I felt something for about 5 seconds, but it was actually right as I was listening to a guy talking about it on the radio. Nothing really eventful for me personally, but others in the area say they saw stuff moving and were scared in high buildings, etc. I'm hearing it was felt in OH, IN, from Windsor through to Quebec City, Timmins and Vermont. Epicenter a little northwest of Ottawa.

Personally, I have caused myself a lot more danger, and the earth was still, ahem. (The past.)

I am not complaining too much at the moment, but it's really stagnant in the air today and we might get out butts kicked by an electrical storm tonight. Supposedly feels like 96F but it's only around 82F.

Fandy, I am still not using air con, which I know is a sore spot with you up till a few days ago. I hope I can make it through the summer again, I like being able to get by without it! Just a 12-inch fan will do the trick for now.

Bam! Your new kitten is adorable!
If she was mine, I'd name her Coco Puff; because her nose, feet & ears look like they were dipped in cocoa. She's classy too, just like Coco Chanel.
I'm so happy for you.

Besides, with the number of filmings that go on in this city, you'd think we were entitled to our own earthquakes.

Two new Whiner's pets have arrived! Great news. I'm glad you got to keep foster doggie, Least - and Bam, your little angel couldn't be more precious.

Toronto, we're hot, humid and on alert for severe thunder dunders too, and conditions right for a tornado. We had a tornado last year, a big one, and that should be enough would you not think?

I've been through 3 major and several minor tornadoes, and I'm not liking my sky right now. If it goes brown, I'm out of here.

Oh wow, the weather has provides some very high quality whines here today. Gotta love when that happens.

Earthquake, severe storms,
Tornadoes too, all make a
Barometric whine!!

Oh don't you just love the drama graphics?? Sometimes I crack myself up.

She started purring.

I held her for a bit and she snuggled close to my face. I'm in love.

And you can call her Sis for short cause she'll be like a sister to you.

I'll bet she's in love with you, too! I love cats and dogs and don't want to live without them - it would be so lonely.

Queen Ann, you are the Queen of Whine-ku, for sure! :-)

All three dogs are in my den - I'm in heaven! Former foster boy ate a good supper (with some carrots and cantalope mixed in) and all are full and content now... and so am I!

Isis? Sounds pretty scientific for a sweet lil' thing...

Definition: Intermediate software system to intermediate system (IS-IS), is a protocol used by network devices (routers) to determine the best way to forward datagrams.

The goddess name, Isis, means fertility and motherhood. For a kitty?

(just sayin...)

I always liked the name Misty.

If interested in some name ideas (with meanings) this might be fun:

Female Siamese cat Names / Girl Siamese cat Names

If not, sorry...just my 'pinion...

I vote for Coco!!! that was a very inventive.

Fandy is actually short for "Fandango" but we never called him that anyway.

Slim weighs 25# he is giant MaineCoon boy...Slim was also the nickname of my first husband who was 6'4" and weighed almost 300 lbs...his brothers called him "Slim" because he wasn't.

Pookie is named after a character on the Soupy Sales show.....

cat names are supposed to end in "EEE" they respond better...but slim doesnt know the difference

my main computer bit the wing, the heat sink came off the motherboard!

the holdings clips came undone, snapped right off, and this is a high end motherboard!

i have almost two weeks of ebay photographs on the hard drive,

loads of new AA stuff, for here, and the POE

the hell with the music,

woe, and all the new documents.

i have back up disks, though not updated.

took some real deep breaths, prayed like hell to come up with a solution.

got some duct tape, slapped it on the heat sink fan, tried to get it up and running long enough to make some backup disk to put on my back up Linux Ubuntu Machine.

after some real perseverance, i got it all done and moved over.

then, mr idea!

went back to look for the clips, now these suckers are about a 1/4" x 1/16"!

found the suckers, decided to Super Glue them in, and see what happens?

as of now, it's still running,

though until i can afford a new puter,

it's now my backup job.

oh, how i loved that computer, fast as hell, and built to my specs.

a two hour trip this was today, and let me tell you, last year, i would have freaked!

growth egh?

and then,

i had to take nanzilla back to the ER again!!

her freak'n diverticulitis!

divertidculitis???? that can be very uncomfortable and dangerous....all that bacteria, poor woman.

Toronto, you can stay as warm as you like, however, if you were me (a 53 YO woman) with an average regular body temperature of 113 degrees these days...I assure you, you would like air conditioning and you would pay whatever to have it .....

some days I swear I am so hot to the touch you could fry an egg on my A$$.

IDK...I like the way Isis sounds.

I'd like to call her fur ball but I'm sure she'll grow out of that.
