gonna take a nice long shower and then do a paperwork project that i keep putting off. it's rainy today, so i am grateful i did some yard work yesterday - i filled FOUR big leaf bags, so a good first round. supposed to be low 30's here by the weekend, so it's time. i always get a bit blue at the end of gardening season, even though i do have things/projects i enjoy doing inside during the winter.

i just have get my head around it - lol!

might make some soup later..depends on if i go to the grocery store.

feeling non-commital this morning

I wish you guys would wake me up!!! I always miss the morning yawns, eye rubbings and first cups of coffee.

Anhoo, it's a beautiful day in my neighborhood! Had another drinking dream...I don't remember much, other than having an empty beer bottle in my hand and realizing I needed to dump it somewhere...ICK...I hate those dreams but I honestly think it's my HP keeping it green for me.

So...I have a new job. Not a real one, mind. I am to be the Library Coordinator for our condo. I need to get owners to donate their books and possibly seek out used ones elsewhere. Should be fun! I get asked, a lot, what do you DO there...??? Well, we actually try to get involved a lot. This year, I hope to volunteer in the schools, work a little with the local SPCA and resume my Yoga, exercise, scuba and take on horseback riding! Riding on the beach...doesn't that sound awesome? Anyways, being a little country, there's lots of need and few resources, so people living here generally pitch in, one way or another. And I told you that we are helping with an archaeological dig at the end of the month. Nope, we don't just laze in the sun. I would go mad if that's all I did.

Hope everyone has a fantabulous day! Hugs all around!

lis

Thanks for the large print, Nelcs! I really identified with the reading for the 9th, and the part about the dogs barking. That was me. I'd race outside to shush them if it was late, feeling guilty and shameful, and like a bad dog owner, thinking the neighbours were talking about it.

Now, they bark, and I give them a minute or two to settle. They are usually barking at a squirrel and soon settle down. If they sound out of control, which is rare, I would open my mind to shush them. But I feel much calmer, and less judged, now.

I wouldn't have looked at this as relating to my spiritual condition until I read this, so thanks.

Yep, Nel, you are definitely a pal and The Mother Hen! Lordy, I feel stupid that I can't even post a photo...add that to my list of things to do above...

And Nel, I was speaking with some Irish folks last night and I just love the accents (we've been down this road b4, LOL). I asked my husband if he could fake an accent....never mind..... Anyways, I wonder if you know them, in real life? I am kidding becasue when we travel and people hear we're from the US or Massachusetts, they always ask "Hey, I know someone from there...do you know Mr. so-and so?"

But she and I were speaking of Corn Beef and Cabbage. In the US, on St Paddy's day...there is green this and that and always Corned Beef. She said it's not that common in Ireland. I used to cook it, but stopped because it stank up the kitchen. Tasty though. We were laughing about the "trolley" with a British friend, too.

I wish I had an accent...I could listen all day.....

Almost time to decorate for Halloween! A bunch of us used to decorate our profile pages, sigs and avatars for each holiday. I think I'll do just that tonight. Thanksgiving first, though.

Hi peeps, and thank you Nel for the Reading, I wasn't near my computer all day, the other girl comes in on Tuesdays and I lose my desk and computer for a day . Anyway, feeling much better and more in sync with everything. I too could relate to the dogs barking, and for that matter, everything else, my kids, just everything. Funny how some days these things bother the hell out of you, but other days, no problem (don't worry, no problem, jamaica man) Kinda like in the Acceptance Prayer.

Just back from a run. Knocked 30 secs off my time. I feel good.
