Happy (British) New Year!!!
We still have about 5 hours to go.
Spoiled - if you post in the Newcomers forum you'll probably get a lot more responses. A lot of people don't wander over here to the Daily Support Forums very often. I personally have never gotten a DUI but I know people who have and it sucked for them, big time. But, life goes on and time heals. Be thankful you didn't injure yourself or anyone else, and do your best to make sure it never happens again.
Yes, it's difficult not to drink tonight. I thought I'd pretty much sail through the night with no true cravings because I know drinking is not an option for me tonight AT ALL, but nope... it's still lingering in the back of my mind. I'm still wishing I could have some. Not sure WHY I wish that... don't know what great things I think would happen if I could drink. I drank last NYE and it was horrible. I certainly don't want to relive that, so why do I miss the booze?

Thank goodness the year is over and I have a chance to start a new one.
Got stupidly drunk. Rang people I shouldn't (ex husband was one of them) My sis has just rang to check I am ok
what a stupid B**** I am but to be fair she was drunk and upset too, first year without our dad. Think I rang my brother too.
At least I never have to wake up feeling like this again.

Family are leaving today so I will have the house back and be here in between going to the ponies.

Congrats on one year off coke Wibbs - that is an achievement!
I still break my days down into smaller parts, usually revolving around meal times (I like eating!) It's helped me alot this time round.

It sure is quiet round here.
Well the new year has got off to a bang. Just had to go pick my sis and nephews up. They were burgled this moring. They had popped to the beach with the kids for a walk. They had only been gone an hour and some addict had smashed the back window and got in. Nothing was taken as he was disturbed by a neighbour. Police picked him up a short time later. What a start to the year.

Hey wibs...congrads on the cokeless year (i'mm sure CG will not be offended) I was always more into speed myself. Are you finding the alchohol harder to kick?

You are gonna kick arse girl.....I like what LB said cut it back to small portions...when it is hard make it one moment at a time and a big help for me expecially durnig cravings or emotional termoil is "stay where your hands are" do something and focus on it....welll but not drinking...supose sex would be ok though for now

I love my family I just dont love the work that goes with it. It's going to be so different next year. I'm so excited about the year ahead.
Feeling rough at the moment. Told my sis and my eldest son that I have stopped drinking. Not sure they believe me lol

they will in time pix....my son heard me say that so many times only to hae me sneaking until it was obvious then i'de bring the bottle back out
